Went for breakfast for the first time today, had the steak and eggs with cornbread. Amazing homemade shredded hashbrowns, homemade cornbread and jams, great portions (couldn’t finish my plate) these guys have dialled in their food and service 10/10 all around. Will definitely be back again!

A stop for lunch. Lovely service, very diner like. I had the fried chicken with fries and Gravy. The chicken had little flavour. The fries and Gravy was great. My friends had the pulled pork poutine and said it was delicious.

This restaurant is now called Motherhen. The food is great and reasonably priced.Great BBQ and chicken dishes as well as wonderful homemade soup. Service is a little slow as they are short handed, but the wait is worth it for the great food.

We ordered sandwich. It came with a bowl of ”greens” which had maybe a quarter of a radish slice paper thin and greens! Supposed to be a side salad?!The sandwich was a grilled cheese and was so greasy I couldn’t eat it. The waitress did not bring cutlery or my drink until reminded and it took so long for her to even take our order and bring our bill. Not busy at all in the place. My husbands fries were greasy and flat. If you don’t eat meat..well charged the same for your meatless meal unless you tell them. The burger was so dry and the “fixins” flat and unappetizing. Short staffed..no..I think the time of “good” food is gone in these “diners” that were once the best home-cooked food. Second try…we won’t be back…sadly!!

This restaurant has now changed titles, not sure whether there are new owners or not but it's name is now "Mother Hen" not a lot of difference from the original. The new menu features a lot of omelet's, some Benedicts (spelled incorrectly as Bennefites) and I tried the pulled pork Omelet which was delicious , full of meat and caramelized onions and peas. My dining partner, on the other hand had the corned beef hash which was very short on the corned beef! and she would not recommend it. The portions were of a good size, the staff were excellent but its unfortunate that they didn't put a lot of meat in the hash.

The food is cooked just like home cooking so it was delicious ?

This was our first time visiting the restaurant. We will definitely go back. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff was flexible with dietary requests and had awesome diabetic choices. Great place to eat!

We have had breakfast at this place many times now. Quite possibly THE FASTEST breakfast place ever! I have sat in Tim Horton's drivethru lines longer. Not HUGE portions but they are good. Home made jam is truly a nice touch and is delicious. Very economical

Had a big breakfast. The only thing fresh on my plate was the eggs, everything else, precooked a longtime before we showed up. Have had the same meal before without issue. Maybe my bad for ordering breakfast for lunch but this is a greasy spoon on the side of the highway, breakfast should be easy and fresh.
