Great food, decent pricing and good service! Went at 1230 on a Sunday, and thought it was going to be busy, but it wasn’t too loud or busy. Was in and out pretty quickly!

I like the Sawmill and have been there often. However Saturday five of us had fish tacos that were 80% batter, not good. The Sawmill used to have the best lightly battered fish and chips and tacos in town, recently though (the past six months) the fish has not been good at all, the batter very heavy. Other meals are very good but not the battered fish.

Fantastic pizza & fresh yummy salad. We were visiting Chemainus today and thought this place looked great. We were greeted kindly by the very pleasant staff members that got us a nice table by the window. The restaurant was very busy with happy patrons. We had the Pear & Gorgonzola & the Amante Della Carne pizza. To drink we had the cider tasting flights. OMG that pizza was delicious. Quality meats, perfect amount of sauce, dough was light and crispy. The salad was a big size the candied cashews mixed with the arugula (very fresh), blue cheese and fresh perfectly ripe pears. Yummy. Our waitress Maria was very polite and offered very helpful suggestions. She brought the flight of BC ciders that had a fun presentation box and they were perfect temperature. Great parking, clean bathrooms & overall great energy. Highly recommended

No Parking near the entrance. Back Elevator not accessible, doors locked. Booth table is for very skinny people. French Fries cold. Service not the greatest.

2nd time I've been to the sawmill. 1st time was much better than the first.. Servers were pleasant. The food was just ok. The soup came out lukewarm, the fish tacos were deep-fried too long, and with way too much batter.

Pizza was delicious! Service was great very attentive and friendly. Felt very at home for a first visit. Will definitely be back.!

Despite not getting a spoon to eat the soup I got, the food was incredibly delicious. Can't wait to come back to the island!
