3.5. Number one go too lunch/coffee place in Chemainus. Great character building atmosphere. New owners have big shoes to fill. I hope they can keep service and quality standards as high as founders and previous owners. It’s all in the details. We will see. So far pretty good. I noticed some of the signage was being done a little hap hazzardly and one of the servers seemed a little rushed to take my order, hopefully just a one off. Usually a good place to have a bite and meet friends.

Very good Mocha but I think that the lady working there shouldn't. I feel like I was bothering her.. no smile no hello just a rude face... I'm guessing something going on or something but leave it home! Especially in a small town.. but the coffee was good! And nice clean place

Food was ok. My bacon and avocado benny was average and it took a long time to arrive at our table. My wife had the veggie bowl which was 80% hash browns.
Not a great experience.

Even on this hot day, the inside was fairly cool. This place is quick with service and has nice atmosphere for a quick break or a leisurely lunch.

Apparently this coffee shop is now charging $.50 if you have your coffee in it to go cup. Already paying five dollars for coffee and now you want to charge me $.50 for a cup, Won’t be stopping by there again, Too bad used to enjoy going there.

Nicely restored heritage, good service, over priced although the club sandwich was good

Beautiful building but average and expensive food. Breakfast sandwich is a frozen sausage patty and a egg on a average bun. Coffee is decent, would rather see local branded coffee though.

The service is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Cajun chicken salad and the daily special wrap. The coffee and tea were quite good. There is a large deck for outdoor seating.

This is place is amazing
I had the quiche it was so fluffy and delicious.
Just a lovely place to go we say outside was so lovely.
Even though it rained.
There is a small store across from it and it has British goodie’s
Very nice English man who owns it.

I've been a customer for a few years... always enjoyed the cafe and food.
Recently, the scones are baked at too high a temperature making the exterior darker, stiff and almost crunchy (?)
The white chocolate chips are heated to caramelize. Sometimes less fruit.
Looking forward to a return to the previously lovely scones...
