Subject: Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Behavior and Refusal to Release Order

Hello,
I would like to file a formal complaint regarding a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience I had today with a pizza restaurant.

I had placed an order for pizza, but when the Dasher/driver arrived to pick it up, the restaurant staff—specifically the owner—treated the driver very badly. The reason my order was not released is because the owner used disrespectful and insulting language inside the restaurant.

The driver politely asked for the order, and they told him to wait five minutes. After he returned, they again told him to wait. When he came back a third time, the owner spoke to him rudely and insulted him, and still refused to give him the order.

My driver contacted me directly to tell me that the restaurant was refusing to hand over my order. The behavior of the restaurant owner was extremely disrespectful, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. He does not treat people with basic human respect and has no sense of proper communication.

I request that this incident be reviewed seriously. No customer or driver should ever be treated this way.

The whole team rocks, they know us and once they see my 3 year old coming. They know to cut the slice into 4 pieces for him. Best pizza in BC

Food was amazing! Best calzone I’ve ever had, waiting time was fair, even kind of fast for such a good masterpiece of food, location is perfect, only downside is that there is no tables that are technically part of this place, but there are other tables nearby

Stopped here twice in 3 days while visiting the area because it was that good. Wish I had gotten pictures but we devoured our slices too quick to think to photo them. Definitely order the arugula and bacon slices, but the white slice and pepperoni were also amazing. Pepperoni is a little on the spicy side, but worth it!

The guy working here has no sense of talking to his employees. I was standing there and he was yelling at them instead of helping. My pizza was super dry. It was hot but dry. I couldn’t even finish it.

I've now ordered three pizzas from here in the last week, and unfortunately, two of them had significantly burnt crusts. The first time, we were too hungry to complain, but the second time I called to report the issue. The staff member was polite but seemed unsure how to handle it, telling me she needed to speak with the owner and giving a 20-minute timeframe for a response – meaning another 20 minutes on top of the wait for a replacement. I ended up driving back there.

The owner inspected the pizza in front of me and dismissively said, “Oh, so *this* is what he’s talking about.” He then told me that I should have specified if I didn't like it cooked that way, and proceeded to throw the pizza away. He then presented me with a replacement that *also* had a burnt edge. He asked if it was “okay,” but honestly, at that point I just wanted to leave.

There wasn't a single apology, no attempt at customer service, and no acknowledgement of my wasted time or the inconvenience. Considering the price – nearly twice what you’d pay for a Pizza Hut – you’d expect a much higher quality product, especially given the appealing photos online. More importantly, you'd expect the owner to treat customers with basic courtesy.

UPDATE: wanted to make this AFTER our wedding as I didn’t trust the owner. I won’t comment on the phone call he made after my first review, but I wouldn’t trust this place with such an important day or any day.
A comment though: if you want a deposit, don’t say it’s not required when asked (we did). We did verify the amount of pizzas & time (as we were told it would be “peak dinner time”) & if you want to accommodate couples, maybe don’t cancel on weddings?? (We weren’t the only ones they cancelled on)

ORIGINAL:Planned on having them cater our wedding with 35 pizzas, they told us they would close down the shop for a couple hours to make all of them. Verified what we wanted roughly a week ago. They just CANCELED on us 2 weeks out because it will be “peak dinner time”. Pathetic.
