New ownership. More variety on the menu but, the chicken is nowhere even close to as good as it once was. Sardis is now the destination for fried chicken , service here was ok and as i say the chicken is ok but the old johns was one of the best ever. Strange place now two seperate resturaunts with different offerings depending on what time you come in .

Food was awesome, very large portion. Service was great. And atmosphere was very peaceful.
The breakfast was cooked perfect.
It is now called midtown cafe. Will be going back soon

told me come back in 30 minutes i came back she said 2 minutes i waited another 15 minutes, my food was very spicy i didn’t ask for spicy food customer service very very poor

I've had the dinner box combo with 3 piece chicken and it's great food. The gravy is very good and the chicken is crispy and so are the fries. Also super affordable.

Enjoyed a reasonably priced, delicious, traditional eggs and bacon breakfast whilst on vacation recently. It came with free coffee!

The food has changed. It’s gross and dry and the chicken tasted off tasted more like fried fish. Would not recommend.

Very cozy little shop , my parents are elderly and they took me there for the breakfast special.. $8.95 includes coffee.

Online menu & pricing is not the same as in store, making it a crap shoot as to what you will get & how much you will pay for it. Tried it twice. I think I'm done.

Website said it was open. Placed order online. Credit card payment was processed. Arrived at restaurant to find it closed. Have been calling for days. Can't cancel order online. Can't dispute through cc for 2 weeks. Just need $$ refund
