Great place to get water press decaf coffee - beans or fresh ground- the Back Porch coffee (best coffee in town!) - they have odds and ends on their mostly empty shelves and it almost looks like they are out of business the way it looks inside (maybe that’s just when I was there) - but they sell excellent sesame seed crackers, okanagan salad dressing and COFFEE. Next time back I want to try their sourdough

The Sourdough is quite possibly Addictive.
It is also home to Back Porch Coffee. The coffee alone makes it a destination stop.
My one caveat is the lack of tables/seats to sit for a moment and enjoy the coffee on tap.

My husband is a sourdough bread aficionado and raves about Magpie's bread! I had seen Magpies in passing when they were down in Sardis, and was happy to see them open on Alexander Avenue. Their sausage rolls are delicious and a perfect lunch, but for me, the standout is their custard danish pasties. Oh my goodness!! They are truly slices of heaven: wonderful flaky pastry - perfect satiny custard - dusted with confectioners sugar, toasted almonds and a drizzle of chocolate. Seriously good!
Magpies Bakery has the best sourdough in town, the jalapeño cheddar is a must try!! The empanadas, granola and coffee are all top notch! All the fresh baked goodies on the front counter are always exceptional. Very easy to support a local small business this passionate about putting out quality products!
