Great place on a rainy day.
It was pouring non stop but hey put on a hat and explore. Found this little store and cafe. The palette was so calming and the aroma of tea was soothing. I ordered the Assam & Silk and boy was it aromatic.
I will definitely recommend visiting again

Stopped by twice over the same week in December. The first time to purchase tea for Christmas gifts. The staff we chatted with was super knowledgeable and helpful, and made some excellent recommendations. The second time I came in for a hot drink and some chocolate mousse. The mousse was delicious - light and fluffy as it should be. I saw signs for crepes - which I will definitely come back for. Their cold iced teas are delicious. The space is calm and spacious - I’ll definitely be back!
An amazing and stylish cafe with the best tea selection in the Fraser Valley, and they accept bitcoin!
I’ve been waiting to try this place since it opened up on Mill St. Originating from a European country, I have been resorting to visiting a bakery in Vancouver to get my fix of authentic French baked items! Marais Tea is very nicely fitted out inside and I appreciated the tables on the sidewalk outside so that we could have our dog with us. I enjoyed a London Fog Latte and an almond croissant. I’m happy to report that the croissant was how an authentic croissant should be (which is not to be taken for granted certainly in lower mainland BC)! My wife had the chausson aux pommes, though this had been made with a healthy dose of cinnamon, which is less French and more North American. It was nicely made, but perhaps more for North American tastes rather than authentic French. For us, the prices are on the side of this cafe being more of a “once in a while” treat rather than a frequent destination for us, but I think the price pretty much matches the quality of the offering and the decor. I’m sure we’ll be back and I definitely recommend this place to others! Next time I’d like to check out the range of loose leaf teas in the other side of the shop.
Update: Marais Tea Company now serves authentic freshly cooked crepes. As soon as I saw them on instragram I knew I would need to pay a visit asap. Today was the day and the crepe (cinnamon and sugar) was so delicious. The best crepe since visiting France many years ago. It’s definitely going to be something I visit for whenever I’m in Chilliwack. Try the crepes: you won’t regret it! I would post a photo but I’m afraid I was too busy enjoying it!
This is a pleasant oasis in the heart of downtown. The carefully curated gift store is Parisienne and beautiful. The café is spacious and inviting. There is a generous variety of tea for everyone.
But, my own interest is coffee. The espresso is full, balanced, and well roasted in the French tradition. It is a welcome alternative to the more acidic offerings of some of the surrounding establishments.
This is actually a delightful space. During the summer, there is an open terrace in the back. It's another world. One does not feel one is in Chilliwack.
The tables on the front sidewalk complete the vibe. Actually, no. I haven't mentioned the food. Why? Because, it looks amazing, but I have yet to partake. I look forward to doing so.
Step into Café Marais, where the air hums with the intoxicating alchemy of custom-blended teas—our true heartbeat. Inspired by the cobblestone whispers of a sun-dappled Paris arrondissement, owner and visionary tea alchemist Ethan roams the world's verdant estates, handpicking silken leaves that unfurl into symphonies of flavor: He even ships his master pieces.
Inhale deeply as steam rises in lazy curls, carrying notes of bergamot's citrus zing or rooibos's warm, nutty embrace, mingling with the golden crust of just-baked croissants, flaky and butter-drenched, their edges crackling under your fingertips. Crumble into a crusty baguette, its chewy heart yielding to a salty, flour-dusted bite, while iced blends glisten like chilled emeralds, beads of condensation tracing cool paths down frosted glasses.
Nestle into sun-warmed wicker chairs on the vine-shaded patio or sink into velvet banquettes indoors, where accordion melodies and Edith Piaf's velvet croon drift like a soft breeze, wrapping you in a cocoon of languid afternoons. Here, time slows to a savoring sip—unwind, confide, let the world fade. Bon appétit!
The chai tea latte was fantastic and I really like the atmosphere of the store. I was only visiting Chilliwack, but if I lived here, I would definitely be a repeat customer. However, I will be ordering their teas online as they had a great selection of loose leaf tea sourced from all over the world.
Fantastic spot for coffee and tea lovers ! The blueberry fog is my new favourite !

Beautiful new location. Friendly staff. Great tea.
Great looking shop, great tasting teas and goodies! Plus they accept Bitcoin which is great! 👍
I've been getting tea from this place for years and since the new owners took over there have been some changes and I am not happy. Customer service is absolutely terrible. I stood there for 10 minutes and was completely ignored. Being a senior it happens often but in a tea shop you'd think they would pay a little more attention to us seniors and so I left. When I went back to pick up my favorite two teas they didn't have them. Now the clerk says my tea is only seasonal. Huh... Never had that problem with the previous owners. My teas were available all year round. I drink tea from the time I get up till I go to bed and this tea isn't cheap. I'm going to run out in a couple of days . I gave up coffee for health reasons and now it looks like I have to find a new tea shop. It really seems like you don't care about the previous loyal customers
Bummer
Little trip to Paris.
My favorite place for delicious coffee! They also specialize in Tea latte, Bengal Chai is pure magic! Big selection of tea blends. They also have lavender in their patio, boutique with products handpicked from Paris.
The whole place takes you for a little trip to France.
Why don’t they show prices?? No prices on the teas, expensive drinks and sad little pastries :(
