Traveling through & stopped on our way to our destination. The service was subpar however the food we had was delicious! We stopped on our way back knowing what to expect from our server but decided the food was worth it. Service was even worse than the first time.
Driving from McBride to Kamloops along the Yellowhead Highway, we stumbled upon the ‘Old Caboose Restaurant’, a charming family run diner, and fell in love with it instantly. The lady graciously seated us next to the window. The place was full.

We came in on a very busy night of August long weekend. The veal cutlets were perfectly breaded and cooked to a golden crisp, served hot and tender with rich, savory gravy. You could tell they were made with care, not just thrown together. As for the meat lovers pizza — it came piled high with generous portions of pepperoni, sausage, ham, and bacon.
