Absolutely 100% recommend! We were on our way to Edmonton and so glad we tried this place. Ambiance we were right on the lake and sat out on the covered deck. There was plenty of inside dining as well!! They have a current menu and food choices. Our server Amanda was perfect! Eggs Benny were amazing and the house made hollandaise sauce made fresh everyday by cook Shelley was silky perfection. Also we had an omelette that was sooo good with hash browns made fresh.... we were so happy we stopped and was served a beautiful breakfast that made our long journey so much better. Lunch menu looked amazing too! A must try for anyone going through Clearwater!! Definitely will go again!!

We had tried to make a reservation in advance, but this was not possible. We were told "We are open for walk-ins 8am-8pm". During our stay at the campground at Dutch Lake on August 20th, 23, we wanted to go to dinner at 7pm. We were turned away on the grounds that there were too many guests on the list and there were no more places for us. When I asked what the difference should be between a reservation and a list, I didn't get a satisfactory answer. This is a strange business practice. There can be no talk of a “walk-in” if I have to put myself on a list beforehand or if you have to register. A reference to this would have been sufficient in my email query. So we went back to our campsite in a huff and cooked something ourselves.

Unfriendly, waiting for 1h and even not possible to drink something. They gave us a number but let people in with a higher number. When we asked why, they were discriminating us because we are a big group. But after us, they let another group in who came after us ?

The board outside mentions, “No reservations, first come first serve”. my party of 5 showed up around 6:40. we were told “you guys need to leave, we have a table of 9 on the way”. selective reservations are cruel, a shame considering i’ve heard the food is good.

After reading the very mixed reviews on Tripadvisor we did actually visit for lunch. The view from the outside seating was beautiful. We were seated quickly and our server was lovely, so friendly and accommodating with the children. Our food was excellent and everybody throughly enjoyed the experience. Would definitely recommend a lunch time visit. After spending a relaxing after on the lake we thought we’d enjoy a drink at the restaurant before leaving the area. Now I understand why there are so many negative reviews. It was like visiting a completely different restaurant. The staff were all different from lunchtime, and were down right rude and unhelpful. The restaurant was almost empty and we asked if we could have a drink and got the answer ‘no’. After my husband asking if we could go the bar and sit on the wooden benches at the side we were permitted to do so but the rude manners of one particular young server was completely off putting. Such a shame as our lunch date was amazing. Left a bad feeling.

Lovely little spot for lunch! The staff was really sweet and the location on the lake was great! I loved seeing all the turtles swimming around. The food was good, nothing too crazy special on offer, but everything was very satisfying. The prices are totally fair, so the value is good--especially when you factor in the lovely service!
