Ordered take out because of some 5 star reviews. This food is not even close to 5 star. Special chowmein was not special, there were three shrimp in our order, and it was so greasy, deep fried shrimp and broccoli chicken had no flavour. This is one star food. Asked twice for 2 paper plates and cutlery. Did get 2 plates, 2 forks, and 2 packages of soy sauce; no napkins , knives, etc. Over $50 and it went into the garbage. Spend your hard earned money else where.

Ordered a combo dinner to go. Almond chicken and chow mein. Food was deliscious. Cooked quickly and tasted great. Quick and friendly service. Good Chinese food at a reasonable price. Would buy from here again. Highly recommend this restaurant if you areclooking for a place with tasty Chinese food.
Visited Cranbrook and friends took us for dinner here. Really wanted to like this because our friends raved about it. It was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The service was almost non existent besides bringing us a bottle of warm water and our plates of food. I usually find your typical "hole in the wall" and not updated kinda place usually has the best food, but not this place. We were never asked if we even wanted a drink other than the warm water. Ice cubes didn't exist. We were to just write our order on a piece of scrap paper instead of our order being taken by the server. I got the impression they did more take out than dine in and that's fine, then shut down your dining room. Chow mein was cold, s&s pork was tough and chewy, ginger beef was soaked in a watey " ginger" sauce, the fried rice and beef with mixed vegetables were about the only edible dishes but still nothing to rave about!

They were nice enough but chicken chow mein had maybe 2 or 3 thin small pieces of chicken same for cabbage. Nothing else. Beef in black bean sauce was very runny not thicker and hardly any beef did like the amount vegetables. It seems to me they are struggling to stay open and by doing so cutting back on the quality of the meal. Sad this is not a good way to get and or keep customers. Instead of making portions a bit smaller but provide more In just noodles or watering down sauces.
I am a fairly skilled writer but I'll keep it simple for this one. This is the best Chinese food in Cranbrook. 5/5 food 5/5 service 4/5 atmosphere. The restaurant itself is a little dated (yet clean). Hardly relevant when your really there for the food and service, not architecture.

This Chinese restaurant is truly one of the finest in town. Their Black Pepper Prawn dish is incredibly delicious. With a vast menu to choose from and a welcoming owner, the service here is exceptionally fast. It has quickly become another one of my favorite spots.
I enjoyed my dining experience at Butterfly Garden Restaurant The food is absolutely delicious. The price portion is reasonable, and the service was excellent. A highly recommended spot for a satisfying dining experience.
