My first time eating here and Oh boy it was delicious! I got a Ms. Peach as my drink and Cool Runnings Pork Sandwich with fries as my meal. I got through 2/3 of my sandwich and was super full! Now I got lunch for tomorrow! And the service was very friendly!
I cannot wait to come back again and to try out more!

Oh wow, this place is awesome. It's the most authentic Jamaican restaurant I've experienced outside Jamaica. I had their oxtail stew and coconut shrimp and both were DELICIOUS (did not had opportunity to take photo because I devoured). We chatted with the owner (lovely and hilarious) and she brings the spices directly from Jamaica for their entire menu. Do not miss this place if you ever visit/stop by Cranbrook.

By far the best restaurant in all of Cranbrook and by far the best Jamaican restaurant i have ever been to in all of Canada over the last 20 years. The Jamaican vibe is instant. The manager is extremely friendly and hospitable. The food is not just Jamaican but GOURMET Jamaican. The restaurant ia beautiful and clean and very well maintained. You will pay a little above average prices but you will get well above average food and service. I dont think i will ever eat anywhere else in this town.

One of Cranbrook’s top spots! Awesome staff, great vibe, amazing food — even my wife and kids can’t get enough of it.

I was blown away by the service, quality of food and the vibrant atmosphere of Ella’s. Our food was phenomenal and every item came out piping hot (which is rare, it seems!) I loved everything, from the rum punch and the coconut shrimp, to the ‘ol foul chicken sandwich and the jerk chicken dinner. I can’t wait to go back.

We had the Sweet Heat chick Sandwich and Oxtail Birria Tacos and the were both prepared to perfection. You can tell there is a lot of love for food and flavor. We plan to go again and try some of the other menu items next time we are in town!

My friends and I came upon this restaurant randomly during our road trip. I will be thinking about this food for the rest of my life and I would drive from Philadelphia to get a bite of the jerk chicken poutine. Omar was our server and he made the experience even better!

Still sitting down in the booth writing this and I don’t want to leave flavor town. I’m so serious. I will cross the boarder once a month to eat here. We shares the poutine, birra, burger, and the pork sandwich. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Birra was a favorite for sure

Absolutely an amazing experience. Dropped by in part because of the strong reviews, and the food and service both exceeded expectations. Went with recommendation for the Oxtail and totally enjoyed it.

We were driving through from Fernie heading back to Nelson and spotted Ella's on the map. Being that I was raised in an area with a lot of Caribbean influence, I was excited to see a restaurant bringing it to the Kootenays - it was an unexpected find and I'm so glad we stopped - it was dang good. I had the tamarind mocktail and oxtail (with extra hot sauce 🤌) - fall apart tender and that mocktail was delicious. My boyfriend had the fried chicken sandwich with fries - even the bun was worth eating on its own - everything was that good. I stole more than one bite and half his fries. :) (Couldn't help it, they had such an addictive crisp to them.) Loved the atmosphere, loved the service, the owner came and chatted for a bit, too, which we really enjoyed, and our waiter made all kinds of suggestions (like the added hot sauce when he heard where I was from :). Great spot and I'll happily be returning on my next time through.

Came here on a whim on a road trip. Great atmosphere, music & some of the best Caribbean food I've had. Service's a tad slow but gave us time to admire decor & murals
