Max’s surpassed their excellent reviews today. My husband and I each had perfect lunch sized tasty quiches, specialty teas, and shared a flavourful sausage roll and took a soft yummy cinnamon bun to go. While enjoying lunch in the cafe, it was lovely watching the three staff members interact so warmly and cheerfully with each other and with each customer. We live 90 minutes away, but Max’s has now become our go to place next time we are in Cranbrook. Kudos to the owners for creating a gem of a lunch spot with great staff. Thanks so much!

This cafe is great and owners support the local community. If you land there on almond crescent day, you’ll wish it was always on the menu. I love the fresh baked goods instead of reconstituted fast food at other coffee joints.

This is the second order of Max’s infamous cinnamon buns that I’ve brought home, one the end of April and one today! I get six buns at a time! There’s absolutely no cinnamon on these buns! What a disappointment! I don’t know who’s making these buns, but your products are dismal, at best! I come to Cranbrook to specifically buy your cinnamon buns because they’re usually delicious and there’s no better cinnamon bun to be had in Kimberley! Please check your buns/baker! They are failing terribly at their job! I will give your business one more try and I do hope that when I ask/pay for six (6) cinnamon buns, that’s what I get! If not, I will spreading the word to all my friends! I would like to become a satisfied customer, once again, please!!! When looking at the buns, there was no cinnamon seen, as had been in the past! Today, I will try them again and decide! I also hope that when I order 6-8 buns that they’re put into a box and not shoved into a paper bag, where they’re flattened to half their size!! Please use some common sense when packaging these buns for your customer to take home to enjoy! Many thanks!

What a nice little cafe this is! I was feeling a bit dizzy and thought I needed some thing to drink , so I got a delicious decaf and Unfortunately they didn't have anything that I could eat because obviously they're super popular and everything was sold out except for some yummy looking chocolate muffins which I can't eat. I'll have to go back earlier in the day and Sample their f a r e. The staff are very friendly.

While the food is AMAZING. The hours are wildly inconsistent and are often closed when the website says they are open, today was no difference, checked their website says they’re open drove into town only for it to be closed. Watched several people attempt to go in while I waited for a friend. Very frustrating
