The 3 overall stars are for the food, it was fantastic! Took my wife there for our anniversary and my parents came with us. Table was really sticky!! Our waiter I think was also the bar tender. Was very distant, very obvious to the table he just wanted to serve us and get away ASAP! We tried being very friendly with him, but we were given 2 cold shoulders from this guy. Then we saw him hanging out behind the bar laughing and having a great time with some people he knew sitting at the bar. The girls working there were very sweet, THEY should have been the waitresses!! Being our first anniversary, we wanted a special night with family. Well unfortunately, it didn't happen while dining here! We won't be back. A memory at a restaurant we wish could be forgotten.

Been here multiple times, but to be honest, it’s a very inconsistent experience with the food and service. Sometimes it’s great and other times not so great. The malt vinegar we asked for was not edible. It seemed like it was pretty old and had been sitting for a while. When we wanted to pay and leave, our server was chitchatting outside to some people on the patio for about 10 minutes and we had to ask the bartender to grab him as we wanted to leave. Basically, it’s kind of a gamble whether you’re going to have a good experience or not.

I tried Lakeside Beach Club for the first time today (ordered under the name Serenity through SkipTheDishes). I was really looking forward to the LBC Burger, which sounded divine on the menu.

Unfortunately, the meal was a huge disappointment. The fries were inedible — it was clear they went straight from the fryer into the box without draining. They tasted like pure oil, and when I placed them on a napkin, it soaked through with grease.

As for the burger, it was missing the bacon entirely. On top of that, it was so drenched in sauce that it became a complete mess, and when I bit into it, liquid actually oozed out. Not at all the quality or presentation I expected for the price.

For a restaurant charging nearly $24 for a burger, this is unacceptable. A truly shameful experience, and I won’t be ordering again.

Being celiac, was disappointed in the no gluten free options and very little to choose from that didn’t have gluten. Sat outside and was a nice environment, staff was friendly and served my wife and I fairly quickly but it was not busy as it was 9pm on a Wednesday.

Absolutely awful experience at Lakeside Beach Club, Cultus Lake.

We arrived at 11:15am and placed our kids’ orders by 11:20am so they wouldn’t have to wait. Their food didn’t arrive until 12:24pm—over an hour later—despite us being only one of two tables in the restaurant at the time. Three other tables came in, got their food, ate, and left before ours even hit the table.

The adults ordered at 11:30am. Food started trickling out at 12:24pm, with the last adult plate not arriving until 12:36pm, long after others were already halfway through their meals.

For $30, my “two-piece” fish and chips turned out to be three greasy chunks of mostly batter with barely any fish. To make matters worse, both my wife and I found hair in our food—she was already halfway through before noticing.

One person at our table didn’t even get their food until everyone else was well into their meals.

Between the unacceptable wait times, overpriced low-quality food, and disgusting hygiene issues, this was hands-down one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. Do yourself a favor and skip Lakeside Beach Club.

We absolutely loved dining here during our stay in town. The food was fantastic, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere made each visit memorable. The outdoor patio was especially comfortable and a perfect spot to enjoy our meals. We're already planning to come back next year! The only area that could use some improvement is the washrooms—a little attention here would make the experience even better.

We went there for happy hour with friends nice experience good good good cocktails and bocce patio the server was good to.

Five or six years ago, this was a classy little retreat — the kind of place you went to enjoy a beautiful dinner. Unfortunately, it hasn’t stood the test of time.
Our waitress was pleasant but mentioned she was finishing a 10-hour shift. I suspect that during the slow season, staffing is minimal, and in peak season, training is rushed. This would explain why both the bartender and the waitress admitted they didn’t know how to make one of the drinks listed on their own menu.
The food was underwhelming and overpriced for what it was. Given the prices, we were expecting a refined meal. Instead, my partner remarked that I could have prepared something better at home — and I agreed.
The patio remains a charming little oasis, but it’s in need of attention. An open electrical junction box with exposed wires sat on the right side, likely where a light once was. At the very least, it should have been covered. On the upper patio door track, a section was patched with cardboard, scrawled in black Sharpie with the words “DANGER DANGER.”
The bathrooms told a similar story — and not a flattering one. In the men’s washroom, a urinal was overflowing; in the women’s, a stall was out of order. Clearly, there is maintenance that requires urgent attention.

The experience was mixed. The glasses and the restroom were not clean, and the fries were overcooked. On the bright side, the burger was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. With a bit more attention to cleanliness this place could be great.
