Dawson Creek has very little places to eat outside of the big chains so If you're not hitting Solar's Pub and Grill, you are seriously missing out. This place isn't just good; it's a five-star culinary surprise attack, and you need to get in there.
First off, the establishment itself is comfortable and spacious. You're not crammed in like sardines, which is already a win. Now, let's cut to the chase and talk about the food, because that's where Solar's really shines.
I don't care what you thought about ordering sushi at a pub and grill, because that mango sushi is pure, unadulterated deliciousness. Don't even question it, just order it. And then there's the Blackened Creole Chicken—holy hell, that dish is a flavor bomb. They're doing things with chicken here that should be illegal, it's that good.
Yeah, the service was a little bit slow, I'll give you that, but they had the right intentions. You can tell they're working hard, and frankly, when the food punches you in the face with that much flavor, a little wait is easily forgiven.
So, stop scrolling, start moving. Get to Solar's, demolish that mango sushi, and let that Creole chicken change your life. You won't regret it.

Where to start, ordered my meal and was brought the wrong thing, told them and was told back , ya we changed it, you will like it anyways. Couldn't even get the right drink without someone coming back and questioning what I wanted. Pop is not that hard. Potato were instant no big deal but I asked if I could get gravy for my mashed...$3 for2 ounces of gravy. Salt and pepper hidden behind bar had to ask for it. Had to go to bar to get my bill. Nobody came to bring it or see if I needed anything else $ 45 dollars fir a meal that wasn't right, steak was rare I ordered med well. I'm sorry mediocre service, food and $ 45 and yet I was told I can leave a tip. Here's my tip, I won't be coming back

Waited for an hour to place a order... food was good but the service. I tried to order skip to my table but it wouldn't allow it. I watched there's 2 waitresses that are mad machines at service the rest shouldn't be here.... or anywhere

The food was horrible. Chicken wings way over cooked in old grease, beef on a bun was shaved old roast beef reheated with reheated spiced soy sauce. Fries inedible as they were dripping in old dark grease. Fish tacos, the grease from the fish soaked anything under it. Best part of that dish was the description in the menu. Terrible.

The food is on point, the servers are very nice and doing a great job.
First time eating at this restaurant. We came in with a group of 12 people from work. The food was amazingly delicious. Has some good laughs with the waitress and she always kept our pints full. Can't remember her name but she was pregnant. Great food and drinks here. Will be back

Margaritas were not good. Only drink that was tolerable was a bottled beer. Food was soggy. Wasn't even busy in the time i went in and it was disappointing. If I went back I'd would be for the bottled beer. Nothing else.

Went for lunch, had decent service from the waitress, but the food was awful, the three cheese dip didn't really have any flavor, though it was hot was more spinach than it was cheese, I had a beef dip and it was dry and flavorless I would have expected some sort of horseradish mayo or maybe onions/peppers for the 20$ price, my fries were burnt and tasted like they had been cooked in week old oil. The person I was with had a mile 0 burger said it was just ok nothing awful but nothing really wonderful either, their fries were also burnt and tasted like old oil, will not be back
