I truly don’t even know where to start with this review, because I am still overwhelmed and amazed by how fantastic and special this lovely farm is. We stayed in the farmhouse in July and used it as a venue for our intimate wedding with our closest family and it was unbelievably magical. Katy was so kind in the lead up to our stay and I love how passionate she and John are about their farm and what they have cultivated there over the years. You can tangibly feel the love and devotion that goes into this farm, the farmhouse, and the ideas behind it all. I’d highly recommend reading or at least flipping through Katy’s book which you can buy at the farm! I loved reading about the history of the place and the biodynamic practices they maintain to ensure their farming heals the land rather than harms it. It is just such an exquisite place, and it will always hold the most precious place in my heart. We miss it already and will be back as soon as we can! Please do not miss an opportunity to visit this place and see for yourself how wonderful it is. I left feeling such a profound sense of peace! Thank you so much to everyone at Alderlea. I couldn’t have dreamt a more beautiful place to get married ?

We hosted my Mother's 80th Birthday at the Alderlea Cafe on August 17th. Trying to surprise Mom is very hard. I arranged with the staff as I was travelling from the mainland for the day. With the help of all the wonderful staff it went off without a hitch. Feeding 22 people and other patrons at the same time went very smoothly. The Pizza was delicious and everyone in our party is still raving about it. The Staff is extremely welcoming and I cannot wait to come back. Do not hesitate to visit this local gem. It will not disappoint. Thank you again for everything you did to make my Mom feel so special.
