Averill Creek Vineyard offers a lovely afternoon experience with guided tastings and the chance to interact with the friendly on-site dogs. The vineyard is known for its reasonably priced and delicious wines, including the JOUE blends and a favorite sparkling wine. The patio is located in a beautiful garden overlooking the vines, providing a peaceful setting with incredible landscaping, especially when the hydrangeas are in full bloom. Guests often share the Estate flight and the Reserve flight, both of which are outstanding, with wines like the Pinot Noirs and the 2018 Sassenach being favorites. While food is not always part of the experience, visitors can enjoy cheese & olives, duck pâté, and smoked salmon, which have been described as delicious. The staff is welcoming and warm, with knowledgeable members like the tap room manager and one exceptional tasting room manager, who enhance the experience.
