Good vegetarian food and friendly staff
We stopped into The Duncan Garage Café and loved the charm of the heritage building and the vibe of the surrounding little shops, such a fun spot to wander around. The pastry selection was delightful (seriously, so good), and the café itself has a cozy atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in with a coffee and a treat.
The menu is fully vegan/vegetarian, which is great, though we were hoping for a few more protein-rich options considering the price point. Still, it’s a sweet place for a casual stop-in.
And having Ember Hot Yoga just upstairs is such a bonus—perfect combo for a class and a coffee kind of day. Overall, a really cute spot in the heart of Duncan.

Always top notch at the garage! Superb service, lots of friendly faces, the best food made with locally grown ingredients, and always a new drink to try. The atmosphere is so welcoming and inclusive, definitely something for everyone! Highly recommend the pizza - and the quiche. And the focaccia. Oh, and definitely the green salad. :P You really can't go wrong with trying anything. So FRESH!!

I have been to this cafe bakery many times in the past; the food was healthy, attractive and yummy; and today was no exception. They have prepackaged frozen goods, freshly made meals and gluten free meals. Healthy healthy food, not over salted and not over cooked veggies. For some people used to salty fast foood this will not be what you are accustomed to. However I like my food perfectly cooked and not overly salted since I need a low Sodium diet.
I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I came here for some delicious pancakes and got something completely different. The expectation and reality are worlds apart. A piece of limp watermelon with pancakes? Seriously? On top of that, the pancakes were undercooked.

I grabbed a latte on my way through town. It was good. The clerk saw me trying to figure out where to order in a very busy place and called me over. That was really nice. No food and I didn’t stick around long. It was very busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

It's a Duncan icon and anchor. Represents the artistic, beatnic and hippy side of Duncan in a hard scrabble town built around forestry and resources. Duncan Garage is a community of awareness, maybe naivety, that delivers wholesome food and atmosphere. They have an embedded bookshop and serve vegetarian food. Should be all you need to know .
