a great place for lunch with family and friends! The portions are large, so you definitely won't leave hungry))
Very tasty and wonderful and friendly staff, I recommend it, and you can also see fur seals and sea lions nearby)))

Very nice staff but there is no flavour to the food except LOTS of oil and salt and calling it a teaspoon of meat in the food would be being generous. My mouth is still greasy from eating it.

I thought i would try out a little take out just to see 8f it was ok. Huge disapointment! I was just going to get a couple sping rolls or something from the appetizer menu. $6 each so I was told that a combo would be a better value. Ok. Combo with almond chicken. $24
Im sorry I didn't take a picture. $24 got me one egg roll 2 spring rolls and a piece of chicken.
Honestly I get better spring rolls from Costco. The chicken was worth about $3.
The almond? Batter was oily and tasteless. The spring rolls were hollow. The egg roll filling was average and the wrap like the chicken was oily and tasteless.
There are many better options in the valley.

Taking over an established location in Cow Bay would be a hard task, but after stopping in for lunch while in town, we were super impressed with the new menu, flexibility for vegetarian options, and the food. Super happy we stopped in and will plan to visit again. Truly the best Chinese food in the area.

I don't know how they figure they're the best on the island. They might be the best on the Cowichan Valley, but that ain't saying much.
Wait You is the best this side of China Town in Victoria.
I had the BBQ pork, it was meh, saw the BBQ ring, but it tasted bland, it had no Chinese BBQ flavor.
The beef and Broccoli chop suey was the best part, the chicken Chowmein was bland, the shredded chicken was added as an after-thought. Deep fried prawns without sweet n sour, who does that..
I should have known when I saw fork and knife instead of chopsticks on the table, and instead of nice chopsticks I was given the takeout kind..

I always liked this place when it was in Duncan. It is worth the drive out to cowichan Bay to enjoy but doesn't have smorgasbord anymore from what I know.

Food did not seem fresh, rice and noodles were oily. The server needs to take a refresher course for customer service.

Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time ! Fresh & flavourful. The portions were huge & the War Won Ton Soup was large enough to take half home.

Ordered a chicken chow main while I was cleaning my boat in the marina. The chicken was pre boiled shredded pieces of the most tasteless 50 grams of protein I’ve ever had. The rest was nothing but cheap noodle, onion and bean sprouts in soy sauce. On top of that they keep policing the parking lot and leaving notes on people’s cars with threats they will tow your vehicle if you don’t eat there. An absolute disaster of a restaurant, no wonder its always empty.

Stopped here tonight for dinner, it was pretty tasty! Good value for the combo that I got, had some leftovers to take home. Only thing I would suggest or liked better is if the chicken chow mein had a bit more flavor, it was a bit bland even after adding some chili sauce. But definitely a decent local option for Chinese food.

I hate complaining about local companies, If I hear from the owners I will gladly remove my post.
We have been here a couple of times, when it opened was absolutely incredible, portions were huge, a Wonton soup was very large and for 21dllrs was great. Today I picked up a to go order and the soup was the smallest bowl I've seen. The till said to me that's the measure it has always been... I tried to explain my problem and why I thought the portion was like when we come and eat... overpowered, I had to leave..
Food is delicious regardless and being in the heart of cow bay makes it a good place to be. But Im just sad, a little broth, a few Wonton and 2 broccoli is $21cad
