The sushi was good. The service was rushed and we had to return as our order was incomplete. We were forewarned by the sign on the door that they were short-staffed--fair enough-- but an acknowlegement of the error or a brief I'm sorry would have gone a long way. Not a deal breaker. I would go back. The food was fresh and tasty and the young staff were doing there best.
Hands down, the best sushi me and my boyfriend have ever had! Absolutely my new favourite restaurant! The service was amazing as well and such a cozy atmosphere. Can't say enough good things about this place! A MUST GO!!
My partner and I ordered takeout the other day and unfortunately were quite underwhelmed by the lack of food we got for paying over 70$.
We ordered salad rolls, six piece superior spring roll, small hot and sour soup with veggies, gyoza, and chicken yakitori.
The salad rolls was actually only one roll for 9$.
The six piece superior roll was one roll cut into six small pieces for 10$.
The hot and sour soup was 11.50$. I didn't want a protein but I asked for extra veggies. They charged me 7$ for two small pieces of broccoli and one small piece of cauliflower.
There were six pieces of gyoza for 13$.
The chicken yakitori was 14$. There were four small pieces of chicken on two skewers that might have made up one small chicken breast.
I rated two stars instead of one because the spring roll and gyoza tasted good.
I posted a photo to show how little food we received for the amount we paid. I understand that costs have gone up but this was quite shocking in comparison to any other place I've been. I will not go back.
Best Sushi in Duncan.
It's not cheap, but quality never is.
We waited an hour for our food, quality was alright, but the portions were tiny given the price.
We paid $90 for 2 adults and 1 child…. And we’re now going home to make food because we’re all still hungry.
Would not recommend.
Pretty sure this is the only place that has Sate Pho in Duncan, and it's delicious!! Their sushi is top notch as well
Their Vietnamese is incredibly delicious and their Sushi is out of this world good. Probably my favourite local restaurant.
Worst value, quality has gone way down hill. See picture for how much food $100 gets you
Best sushi and customer service on the island. Always greeted by name with a friendly smile and the food is always delicious. Please go and check it out!
Ordered the lunch special with rice. Also ordered a green tea. They brought me the lunch special with noodles. The bowl was half full and I left hungry. The food was tasty but the portions were very small. I let them know their mistake they said sorry. $24 paid. No attempt to make the customer happy or make it right.
Left there and went in order to Burger somewhere else cuz I was still really hungry.

Honestly I am shocked this place has a rating above 4 stars. Maybe because I am a bit of sushi snob. But honestly this place was the most over priced sushi I have ever encountered in bc. 15 dollars for 5 pieces that were below subpar. My girlfriend and I bought 3 rolls and 2 teas and could you believe it 50 dollars the bill unbelievable. And finally I have never been to a Japanese restaurant where they charge for tea that is always complementary. I honestly have never been so let down before it had the highest rating for sushi in Duncan and expected better. Forewarning if you want good sushi go elsewhere.
I rarely take the time to write reviews, but my experience at this establishment was so overwhelmingly negative that I feel compelled to share. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the uncleanliness and lack of attention to detail. The overall atmosphere felt unpleasant, and it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority. The staff seemed unprofessional and indifferent, which only added to the discomfort of the experience. I left feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I strongly advise against visiting this place—there are far better options out there that value their patrons and maintain a standard of hygiene and service. Save yourself the disappointment!

We enjoyed an amazing lunch at Nha Trang. The rolls are amazing. So fresh, flavourful, and just works of art.
