It seems like a fun little spot. The staff was very knowledgeable about the drinks, it's dog friendly, every beer I tried was really good. There was a food truck outside that you could order from and bring your snacks inside.Saw that they have comedy nights, we'll be back to check that out.

Fantastic beers and staff! They are cold and warm, respectively! The staff will guide you through their great selection of reasonably priced beers. All housed in what I believe to be, whether true or not, a re-purposed auto repair shop. I grew up in a garage and Small Block Brewing has the bones and soul of a garage. It's awesome!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, table layout and washrooms!

An excellent experience , well run , pleasant ambiance, lots of free smiles from staff , and best of all the beer is magnificent !!A perfect spot to unwind.I never tried any food but there is an onsite kitchen as well.There are several beers and ales to sample or simply have a glass / mug. I'm quite certain you will be pleased with your choice to stop by at Small Block Brewing !If you like my review don't forget to give a thumbs up on the icon?.

What a wonderful little surprise as we drove back to Nanaimo from Malahat. We wish they had a more varied menu but loved the chips & salsa and the peanut flight was delicious.The beer menu was great and the people, both staff and patrons, were incredible. It's very welcoming to a couple of East Coast folks far from home.
Fantastic brewery and great staff.The beers are some of my favourites. My wife is gluten sensitive and can drink their beers!I don't know what magic that is, but it's so nice to be able to have a pint together.The trivia and comedy nights are a great date night and the Friday cask creations are unlike anything I've tried before and so good.Great job Small Block, keep it up.

I don't know what's wrong with their beer or if I've just had a few bad batches but every time I open one it does a volcano impression all over my table and i end up with half a can after to drink. No I dont shake it and it's not warm. It's to bad because I kinda like it and the cool art work on the cans.

Or party found Small Block on a chance encounter after the place we'd intended to go to was booked for an event.We didn't get a chance to try all of their beers, but what we did sample was excellent. We weren't expecting much from the pizza, but we were pleasantly surprised to discover that they were good too!Interestingly enough, the beers at Small Block are also rated at 20 parts per million for gluten, which (as I understand it) puts them right at the line for being certifiable for gluten-free. I'm not intolerant personally, but I've tried a few gluten-free beers and have yet to try ones as good as the beer at Small Block.If you're gluten intolerant, I'd make sure to check first, but it sounds like they could be a great option for you if you've been missing out on the craft brew scene!
