Don't expect much and don't stay here if you can help it. No more than 2 nights. One would be better. The surrounding area is gorgeous but there has to be better places to stay

Stopped at Best Western in Victoria and the price was outrageous! Will never stop there again. Super 8 in Duncan was excellent!!! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was more than expected. Quite large and very clean. Would definitely recommend to others and would definitely come back.

Not impressed at all by the room - small, not well maintained. Staff were friendly and cold breakfast offerings (cereal, yogurts, fruit bars) while limited in options seemed to be all-you-can-eat. Good for a place to sleep if you arrive late and leave early.

There was coffee grounds/ dirty water or coffee in f
Coffee maker. Long Hair stuck on the doorframe in the bathroom. Blood or hair dye dried on the floor/ wall/ door frame in the bathroom- I was able to wipe it off.

Also my roomate was laying on the floor at night a bug crawled on his arm and he noted it to be a bed bug as he has previously seen bedbugs. The room also had that musty/ damp smell associated with bed bugs. The front desk told me it a was a stink
Bug, however the smells are very different.

I asked the hotel to put my bedding in the dryer on the chance it was bed bugs, so I do not bring contaminated blankets. They explained they are unable to do that.
I asked them for a partial or full refund as I would need to go to a laundromat and purchase rubbing alcohol to spray my belongings prior to removing them from the room.
They told me they would forward my concern.
The person woke last night was very kind and helpful, as was the very first person on early this morning. I have not heard any response back from the hotel. They didn’t seem too bothered that their rooms are in that condition.
The mid day reception was less friendly and seemed offended as the hotel
As she let me know the site is checked weekly for bedbugs.

I honestly expected more from a super 8 as I have stayed in number plus ones throughout bc, Alberta and saskatchewan.
The location is the only decent thing about the room.

Rooms: The rooms feel smaller than a standard hotel
Room also.
The continental breakfast is cold items only, consisting of fruit cups, yogurt, cereal, nutrition grain bars coffee/ tea and juice.

Rooms were clean but fan is noisy and sink was not draining properly. Located on the main road noisy . No elevators so if you have walking issues get 1 ground floor. Breakfast was basic but good enough . Service was ok but no smile at checkin. Evening clerk was smiling . Place is good for a night but wouldn’t stay longer than that.

Had to leave a review as we just stayed here for Sunfest.
Rooms were clean but not great, wifi was not very good at all.
The service was awesome Lena and the staff here really bump up the rating on this old hotel. Just want to say thank you so much to all the staff for being so great, cheers

Creepy. The room was very shabby and dark; it definitely didn't look like the pictures on the internet. The hotel needs to be completely renovated, the hallways everything looked very dingy. The announced breakfast was very modest - there was no bread or toast. Cornflakes and sweet bars.

Front desk person is so rude. I called today and whoever i talked to gave me price of 98.40 for 1 room and after talking to my family when i called back the the lady who answered my call said there was no other staff. she was the one who was answering call and she is so rude. I did not even said her I am going ahead with this reservation even thn i got email and when i called to cancel she said I will be charged for 1 day still.
