What an underdog story! We headed into Duncan for breakfast and planned to hit up whitespot but it was closed and opted to take the chance on The Old Fork. We were very skeptical but we’re blown away by the quality of the food. Service was very friendly and fast given there only being one server running the front of the house. Restaurant was clean and had a very relaxed atmosphere. We had four orders of the buttermilk pancakes are we weren’t disappointed. Haven’t tried the rest of the menu but what we did have was hot, fresh and quick… what else can you ask for in a breakfast! Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Duncan or travelling through.

Good food and service. We enjoyed a burger, fries, deep fried pickles and poached pear salad. The cocktails were also good but the draft beer was off... we don't blame the beer itself but suspect it is just that the lines are not being cleaned regularly/properly. We'll go back for the food but will likely just get bottled drinks in the future.Vegetarian options: Good salads to choose fromParking: Easy parking and large lot

This place ROCKS! First off the drinks were on point and priced right. I had a Caesar and Long Island Iced Tea. The Caesar was legit one of the best I've ever had made with their own in house hot sauce. The food was amazing both meals were delish with little ingredients that you can't get anywhere else. I will be back... SOON! If you haven't eaten here what are you waiting for!

Wonderful little diner with incredible food and super friendly staff. Our server was insanely friendly. The home made hot sauce was incredible, and the server snuck us a couple extra which made our day.Very diverse menu with something for everyone! This little diner makes me wish I lived on Vancouver Island!

If you are travelling north from Victoria up Vancouver Island, Duncan is maybe not the place that you might normally consider stopping for a meal. However, our son and daughter in law took us to The Old Fork on our recent visit and it was highly enjoyable. The menu was very varied and the food excellent. Service was very prompt and the staff very friendly . I would highly receommend this and I'd go back again without any hesitation.
A good, solid breakfast! Well executed diner food. This hidden gem, tucked away in the Duncan Ramada, is worth seeking out. Clean, with a rustic/vintage ambiance. We were given a choice of indoor or outdoor seating in the inner courtyard. The servers were attentive and pleasant. I judge a breakfast place on their hash-browns and these guys passed the test. Perfectly cooked. Will definitely come again.

I was here once before and had a good experience, so I brought my family (2 adults and 2 kids) for brunch. The hash browns that both my husband and I ate were bland and not seasoned, same with the french fries on my daughter's plate. The food was hot and fresh and service was great. My first cup of coffee wasn't that warm, and there were coffee grounds in my cup.Staff were great and friendly, and I won't write this place off as maybe they were having an off day, but it definitely could have been better.

Perfectly cooked Benny. One of the best Cesar’s I’ve had in a while. I totally would call this one of Duncan’s top breakfast spots for me

We were here Saturday July 9th for lunch. The two young women who served us had fantastic customer service all around! One gave us great advice: check out the Old Farm Market and the backroads to Bamfield (thank you!!!). Had the Frito Bandito Burrito... deadly good! Highly recommend - you guys are awesome!
