I used to come once a month with a friend before Covid to enjoy the famous crepes, which of course are still on the menu Last night, I went with my son and 4yo granddaughter. I enjoyed salmon & prawns with a lovely champagne sauce and rice, my son was very happy with fish and chips, and my granddaughter enjoyed a burger and fries. Very pleasant house wine, too. Parking is of course complicated all over Cowichan Bay, but staff are helpful facilitating 'the double parking' in front of the restaurant.

Our server Abe was excellent and very well versed with the menu. Loved my burger, it was possibility the best I have had in a long time. The fish and chips and the chicken crepes were good too.

The Vine has now become our favorite place for dinner in the Cowichan Valley. Plenty of freshly prepared seafood—the calamari is the best anywhere! And, we love the views from the large patio right on Cowichan Bay.

Tried to call to order food while staying in a hotel close by, as we have a 5 month old baby and 2 dogs so cannot dine it, phoning goes to a voicemail that just tells the hours, not great customer service

Absolutely unacceptable experience at The Vine.
They loudly promote themselves as family friendly, but that’s nothing but false advertising. We walked in with two kids, the restaurant was half empty, and yet we were told they were “full” and refused a table.
Families don’t deserve to be treated this way. Dishonest, misleading, and extremely disappointing. We will never return and I’ll be sure to warn other parents not to waste their time here.
We assumed we went half an hour before closing and they didn't deal with us.
Additionally, there was an ugly smell inside.

Brought here by friends as part of our visit from Wales, what a treat. Sitting overlooking the dock, colourful houseboats and mountains in the background, the view is awesome. The food was lush, service efficient with the team all super-friendly. A very happy visit. 😁🌈

Favourite place to take friends when in Cowichan Bay in the summertime. Entrees are classy, delicious, and very fairly priced. The service is attentive and friendly. And the ambiance is classic Cow Bay. In my opinion one of the best overall value dinner spots anywhere in the country.
