Steamers Cafe

Had two experiences at this fine establishment.
First, I waited at the counter for five minutes before anyone came over to take my order. Don’t get me wrong—the drink was great.

But it was the second experience that did it for me:
There was a large group of customers who ordered multiple drinks. I stood in line again for over five minutes while their orders were prepared—no problem there.

Then, someone from that group came up behind me, attempting to add another order to their previous one, after they had already been cashed out. There was no reason for it to be treated as the same order.

For whatever reason, the barista thought it was the right choice to take their order first—completely ignoring me, who was first in line, already having waited over five minutes.

I don’t quite see how that logic makes sense. Take orders in the order customers stand.

We've loved coming by here every day during our stay. The staff is amazing and the food is delightful. We feel quite spoiled and always leave smiling.

Friendly service and quick, inexpensive cafe fare, with a surprisingly delicious breakfast sandwich.

It's a cafe that shares the kitchen with the restaurant. If you want something quick, don't order hot food. We were there last ordering a sandwich and a hot dog to go as we were in a rush. We waited 15 minutes as the food was put into the kitchen along with the restaurant order. I had to keep pushing the servers. For some reason I might have been misunderstood that this is a place for a quick bite.
