Above and beyond service, our server was juggling the entire restaurant all on his own! It was incredible how well he did it too, keeping track of everything everyone ordered and even what everyone needed without writing it down, wow!

We ate lunch at the pub. One of the best seafood chowders I've ever had. Five kinds of fresh seafood in a toothsome light broth. Mmmmm (just the thought of it makes my mouth water)

I cleaned the table before sitting down. The food was overly salty, but most restaurant food we had at Gabriola was on the saltier side. There only seemed to be on staff working despite almost all the tables being taken up.

We stopped for lunch and while the pub is lacking atmosphere and feels cheap it does have a great view of the water and the service was very good. We all had the fish n chips which was really good. For being on a small island we were surprised to find the food was reasonably priced.

Food was amazing. I had mussels and seafood linguine, highly recommend! Roast beef special looked awesome. Best part was the view, sat outside on the “yard” to watch the sunset.

Didn’t stay at the resort but the Cheese N Mac at the Pub is easily the best mac n cheese I’ve ever had. Wanted to savour it longer so much that I restrained so I could have some to take home.
Gabriola Island is where we go to get away from the city and Surf Lodge is where we stay. It's rustic and cozy and, while the wi-fi may be lacking and the amenities aging, if you're looking for sleek and new, what are you doing on Gabriola Island?

Love this place and visit every year when on the island. Sure, it could use some updates but that’s the whole point. Service was amazing. Best wings in years. Friendly. Unpretentious. Where in the world can you pound pints, breathe in ocean air, and watch whales at the same time.

I’m not someone who usually leaves bad reviews, but the service here was absolutely appalling. A couple of my friends and I came over to Gabriola for the day and were excited to try out the pub! However, we sat at the table for quite a while before kindly asking the bartender if we were meant to order at the bar. He rudely and sarcastically responded to us and said no, before spraying us with his cleaning bottle, wiping our table and walking away again without greeting us or taking our order, while going back behind the bar to talk to his friend. He was rude enough that we did not even end up staying. Unfortunately will not be back.
