I’m not someone who usually leaves bad reviews, but the service here was absolutely appalling. A couple of my friends and I came over to Gabriola for the day and were excited to try out the pub! However, we sat at the table for quite a while before kindly asking the bartender if we were meant to order at the bar. He rudely and sarcastically responded to us and said no, before spraying us with his cleaning bottle, wiping our table and walking away again without greeting us or taking our order, while going back behind the bar to talk to his friend. He was rude enough that we did not even end up staying. Unfortunately will not be back.

If you have time you can wait in the pub over a drink and wait and wait for your order. You'll want to pack a picnic lunch on the Art tour so you don't nèed to waste time here. My wife said don't order the coffee.

Stayed at the Hotel once was not bad for the night. The service or lack of in the pub has been horrible. First time we were ignored while the bartender partied with his friends and today told the patio was closed which is fine but the staff were pretty rude about it. To bad it’s one of the only options on the island.

Sunsets, Whales and Music on the lawn. Stayed in room #3 Everything was perfect. Over the moon happy with everything ? Hidden gem. Def worth the trip I have traveled extensively and found this place to be one that will never be forgotten. So coming back next year.

The room we stayed is was definitely older but had a charm I enjoyed. I felt a bit like I was on a ship partially because the floor was uneven. Sounds weird, but I enjoyed it!

Wrong advertisement! When we were booking the place, it was showing we are renting a cabin. But, they put us in a room who is right beside the cooler room. Had to listen that loud noise for days. We could close the window but there wouldn’t be no air circulation in the room if we did that! My husband and our kid struggled to fall asleep with that noise. Lightning is sooooo poor. Beware..No outlets in the bathroom. And my husband wanted me to add especially this part.. “Sad to say but room wasn’t clean like they said. No one has long black hair in our family, plus there was other things sitting on the carpet and the bathroom floor. They were asking for a tip for poor room service. Food was okay.. the male server did an excellent job. Thanks to him we are giving 2 stars. Nice location.”

Food and drinks: We ordered the fish & chips and clam chowder. The clam chowder was decent but potatoes in it were pretty hard and might not have been cooked enough. Fish and chips were good but the fried batter on it and the fries was very dark, so I think it wasn't cooked with fresh oil. Also, after initially seating us, it took a long time for the server to come back and give us water and take our orders. We kept trying to wave them and get their attention but no one was paying attention to us for a while.
Super cool little hotel, I only stayed for one night but I really enjoyed it my room was really cool and very unique it was not your average looking hotel and every room was different so now I want to go back and stay in a different room to have a new experience, my only issue was I couldn't get the shower to stay at a warm temperature and there was no staff around to help me with that so I couldn't use that but it was only one night so no worries, I recommend staying at this hotel

so - I come here each year to celebrate my brother's birthday with him I love coming to this pub because the food is excellent. The view is outstanding and WELL the service above and beyond today we came and I was able to bring my sister and her husband, and it was such a joy, my bro loved it. The muscles were amazing and they love the fish and chips. I have to say our server Jamie was an absolute rockstar if you're coming to Gabriola- please come here and please ask for Jamie.
