Cold night and they could have had the cozy fire going. The waitress was so incredibly loud and obnoxious and too busy talking to give proper service that I couldn't wait to leave. Too bad, because it has potential but I won't be back. Also, change the carpet on the stairs because it's frikin disgusting!!

Worked here for just over a week, DO NOT STAY IN STAFF HOUSING *warning* - dirty, too many people, washing machine is used for old dish rags , no space in fridge and really not maintained for it feels like YEARS. Spent almost my whole week cleaning the kitchen in the pub which was in a very dangerous not food safe state and I was shocked when I arrived. Me and my fiancée travelled across Canada to work here and left because of many reasons uncluding the “staff accommodation” which was UNSAFE and needs to be cleaned - toilets have shit al over them and nothing is kept up. I am still owed tips from my time there and was underpaid (I agreed to a lower wage because I was making more tips than a usual restaurant) - customers are great , but I would not recommend to eat or work here. I am owed about 200$ in tips and was told because I left it was distributed to other staff. This was a very bad experience and I hope I get paid what I am owed by Debbie. I have over 15 years of experience and this is one of the most disgusting kitchens I’ve ever been in. I was yelled at for cleaning and told “it’s an island not a nice place you don’t need too. Also they are dumping fryer oil on the property next door and burning the garbage in a bin in the back yard which you can see is also burning the trees above. I hate to write this review but I’m owed money and people need to know what they are putting in their body.

Always love stopping at the pub when I visit Galiano. Galiano burger is a classic, pizzas are great. We played pool + darts all afternoon. If you’re a Guinness lover, they even add the 4 leaf clover on the foam! Tried their rosé as well… the perfect summer afternoon vino. Thanks everyone for the great time yesterday!

Had a great experience, great local pub, and the staff were very friendly and amazing. Big shout out to Lily, who drew me a map on the trail to follow to get back to my accommodation. Above and beyond, highly recommend.

Came to Galiano on a girls trip for my friends birthday. We love a good dive bar and this place was just that. We didn’t go for food just drinks which were great! The lady that was working Megan, was an absolute gem and made our experience that much better. We couldn’t stop talking about how great she was for the rest of the night. The belly laughs were definitely happening while chatting with her. The pool tables were great and exactly what we were hoping to find in the pub. I’m already missing this place and can’t wait to go back on future trips.
To top off the great night I won a hundred bucks on the pull tab machine!

Ordered the Galiano burger. See pic. 1/2 piece of bacon, raw onions and mushrooms (not sautéed as on menu). They don’t seem to take a lot of pride in their food. Server was nice, garden area was also nice. Vibe was a little weird - they charge $3 per person for the bus ride (fee not indicated on the corresponding webpage, you only find out once you’ve already boarded the bus. I called to confirm the pickup time, and they could have informed me then as well, but they didn’t), so be aware. You don’t find out until you get on the bus. I understand there are operating costs, but they need to let people know up front. The waitress said they’d been charging for the past 5 years, but for some reason weren’t able to get the website updated. She then later said they’d been charging for the past 2 years. Either way, just put one line of text on the bus page on your website. Multiple “no liability” signs. Next time we’ll just dine at the marina instead.

ERIC is a HORRIBLE bus driver !!!! Please get rid of him!!! We have been coming to the island for over 25 years and each time (a major island attraction) our 5 STAR beer bus driver, Tommy, has been the star of the show. We came back this August to find Eric at the wheel, and boy, oh boy, was he a mood killer. As soon as we got on the bus, he told us Tommy wasn’t coming back (due to retirement - fair enough, he’s over 70), but that he (Eric) had NO INTENTION of keeping the beer bus in its full sing along, happy go lucky bus journey. He played awful music, that was IMPOSSIBLE to sing along to and did not create a memorable bus atmosphere! Negative POINTS ERIC ! Please can YOU get an early retirement!

The original driver, Tommy, has retired. He had a unique demeanour which put you in a great mood. He’s gone! Now Eric drives the bus with no spirit of fun and the experience is no longer worth getting your back injured in a suspension less bus. Sadly, the end of an era, unless they get a genuine replacement for Tommy.

We came here under recommendation from a local. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The server was rude from the get go, told us about auto gratuity on table of 6, which was 5 adults and 1 child. The food was bland and basic, worst of the meals was their childs pizza which was bread and microwaved cheese.. never seen an oven. Not sure how you can butcher a pizza designed for children. The table and surrounding area was filthy. Server never checked on us or offered refills on drinks, napkins etc, and then have the audacity to prompt for 18% as the lowest tip option. We left wishing we tried somewhere else. Overpriced & over-rated at 3.9 stars.

We spent a few days in Galiano Island being treated with beautiful views and quaint food. This place was mediocre food, bad service, and dirty. There was about 5+ dead bees on the window right beside our table. Not a sight you want to see while eating- as it just makes us think how dirty the kitchen must be. Definitely recommend other locations much more. Waste of a night to try other restaurants! That night they also crashed their Hummingbird bus into a vehicle. Just bad impressions all around. Beer taps weren’t working, out of multiple food items as well.

food was extremely overpriced, not even homemade. Ordered chicken strips that were the size of chicken nuggets at McDonald's, cost $18 no side just the "strips". SERVICE WAS POOR. waitress was waiting a5 the front doing nothing, but somehow needed time to serve us. Didn't check on us. When my friend did not tip (because of poor service and extremely overpriced good).waitress had the audacity to demand a tip for which she did nothing to earn. People seem to forgot more and more tips are not a right,but a reward for actually doing an amazing job
