Oxeye is a great local coffee shop and gathering space. The patio space is nice and shady, and the outdoor furniture is made from huge pieces of oak (?), it's sturdy as heck. The service was great and food was delicious. They also sell some locally made goods.

10 outta 10. Some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. All local fresh ingredients. Great staff and talented chef. This is a really special spot!

This is a real gem on the Gulf Islands tour. Great coffee, food, and pastries. The quiche is legendary! The staff if really welcoming and they have a great selection of local crafts and some books and magazines.

Atmosphere is really great, both indoor and outdoor seating that is lovely. The food ingredients are, amazingly, all sourced within 30 km. The menu items-- breakfast and lunch (starting at 11am)--are all unique. Don't expect to find things that you're used to. Cinnamon rolls were sweetened with cherry and probably honey. Good, but unusual. Only disappointment was the spring onion quiche was super salty. It seemed like an error in the recipe. They gave us a free item to compensate.

The coffee was great, I had a Latte. The omnivore sandwich was super salty and greasy, basically inedible imo. Donut was delicious, tasted similar to Lee's jelly filled.

Lovely people here but they need to employ another cook or two. Waited 45 mins then took my “salad” (a bowl of lettuce with dressing) to go and a bowl of soup. Disappointing.
