I travel often to the Gulf Islands, and remember this Bakery Cafe from when I lived on Galiano and happy its still going strong! Indeed, it is the ONLY place to go for coffee first thing in the morning (like 7 am which means the bakers clock in at 5 am ) ) except for drip coffee at the Garage There is always a line up , waiting for the OPEN sign to light up Inside it is basic, countertop seating, but incredible color photos of resident pods of Orcas are attractively displayed The staff is always smiling and friendly. I love their delicious Turkey sandwiches (day old only $4.50)and fresh Pain au chocolat that tastes tres francais and uses real butter and delicious chocolate fresh baked every morning and by the time I buy two and two coffees and walk to my friend Andrews, they are still warm Thanks Sturdies Bay Bakery Cafe I love you all the time but especially on a cold rainy day at 7 am when NOTHING else is open!CHRISTINA FERRERO YOU TUBE ARTIST LISTEN TO DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER AND NANOOSE BAY LULLABYE ONLINE

Super friendly service and great food. A lovely place to grab a treat of a quick lunch. The coffee is worth making a stop in for too. It's a quick, easy walk from the ferry terminal after you've checked it. A little gem!

The food is amazing but the service is even better. I eat here every time I catch the ferry back to Vancouver, and every time they are so cheerful no matter what time of day it is.
