Staff was friendly, the coffee was good and the bakery items looked delicious. However, I was visiting from the U.S. and they said I couldn’t use my credit card which was a first. They said debit or cash then would only take Canadien debit. Then a woman who I presume was the owner although she didn’t identify herself was very rude about my service dog who though he was wearing his credentials, I was asked to put a full vest on him. So I went to my car and put on his full vest which I do not believe is required even in BC. She accepted it but clearly was still not happy and tried to intimidate me with warnings of potential fines. Not a good beginning to my visit to Canada….

Update: from the BC gov website 8/2024, I think you need to get updated on your laws…and you were very rude

Certification under the GDSDA is voluntary. Valid guide and service dog teams exist outside of the GDSDA certification process. Persons with disabilities who rely on a guide or service dog that is certified with other authorities, or is not certified, have an equal right to access and use of public services and places and rental or strata housing, and are protected under the BC Human Rights Code.

Under the Guide Dog and Service Dog Act, certified dog and handler teams have the same rights as people not accompanied by dogs.

Provided the dog is well-behaved, a team cannot be denied access to:

Restaurants and cafes
Buses and taxis
Hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts
All other businesses
Any public place
Strata bylaws and rental terms prohibiting or restricting pets do not apply to certified guide and service dogs.

Loved the butter tarts, definitely try them! The chai is really good too. Pie was okay but can't compete with the butter tarts. Great spot to stop when passing thru.

Be aware they only accept debit or cash.

I LOVE this place. I look forward to going there every time I go to Greenwood to visit my Dad. The service is wonderful every time. And you can’t go wrong with anything you order.

Very good little coffee shop and bakery to stop at if you’re on the road. Ended up staying the night nearby, originally was planning on passing through. Love this place, the town and the area around it. Good coffee and the best sausage roll I’ve ever had. 10/10 would return

What a fantastic gem this café is! I had the sticky bun and the butter tart and both were the best I've ever had. The service is also real, sincere, and altogether top shelf.
