Very underrated shop. All the other cafes are always slammed but this one isnt and its very strange because the coffee is just as good with better prices. Maybe its just smaller and people assume that means its worse? Idk but if you want good espresso shakes come here

Said it was open online, drove 30 minutes over and the restaurant was closed. Tried calling them to no avail.

We stopped here on our way through town and were very impressed by what we encountered here. The food was delicious, service was fast, arcade handy while we waited. I also saw the manager take quick action to fix an issue with another customer by comping a side dish to make amends for a slow order. The only thing we missed was tartar sauce for our fish and chips, but perhaps we were supposed to order that? Lovely paintings on the walls and nice atmosphere. We hope to return some time. Great experience!

Heads up to the owner, upon trying to place an order with your self-serve system, the system was double charging: $18 for 1 small poutine that was listed for $9. Cancelled that order and started again, same issue. One $9 poutine showing $18 total.
We decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Had we seen anyone resembling staff, we would have mentioned it so it could be corrected.
I was hoping for better. I had cod and chips, and the cod was bought frozen and pre-battered (which is what the owner told a friend of mine, who complained). That’s not what I expect from a fish and chip restaurant and particularly not for these prices. On a positive note the owner was very friendly. He also brought us a free sample of deep fried mars bar, and I have to say it was delicious. I’d definitely return if they start serving fresh cod or halibut, that they batter in-house. The fries were great.

They were awesome. We got to Hope late due to traffic, and were tired. They were close to our hotel and were open. After we registered we walked over and they were closing but saved our night and fed us great food with a smile. And I loved the newspaper!

Good value meals and solid fish n chips but the milkshakes are the real show stealer!
I get the halibut every time I go, excellent service and they always use fresh oil so the fish is very crispy and you can play video games while you wait for your meal..
And the poutine and coleslaw are quite nice as well.
