Ford's Cove Restaurant

It is a new building with a fabulous view and tons of potential. A few things were less than good. The menu is limited and for some reason you cannot get both salad and fries along with your fish or burger without paying for an expensive extra salad. If dining as a pair a solution might be for one of you to get the fries and the other the salad and divvy them up. In addition, the patio umbrellas cannot be adjusted to shade you from the setting sun, if you are eating at that hour. They bring the meal to your table but you have to order at the bar. Full table service and a better menu could turn this into a really wonderful place to eat.

Great new modern restaurant with good food and good service and an amazing patio deck with ocean view over the cool rocks. Plus easy parking and nice bathrooms...What more could you want? Yam fries were great and so was the pulled pork.

Great location. Beautiful view of the ocean and mariana. Food was very average. Had the fish and chips and crab cakes. Batter on the fish was nice. Fries were good. Cole slaw was disappointing. Crab cakes looked burnt. They were not, but the oil was clearly not fresh oil. Upon arriving, we ordered before we sat, paid before we sat, and were also prompted to pay and tip before service. Prices were average for this day and age.

Fantastic place to enjoy the view. Great atmosphere and great food. One of the best on Hornby. I was surprised by the low rating so trust me when I say disregard! In reading the poor reviews it’s all entitled and disgruntled people who simply can’t do anything without complaining. I mean seriously.. someone gave a 1 star review because they tried to change a diaper ON A TABLE and other patrons and staff took issue with it..? Of course you can’t do that here! WTH!! Anyways.. absolutely fire establishment enjoy and be happy!

What a stunning location! My burger was fresh, the bun was soft and delicious. My husband’s crab cakes were freshly made in house, and side salad was simple was ridiculously delicious. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner as an option, oh and the staff were lovely

Great little spot, looks quite new, the space is nicely designed with a panoramic view of the water. Fish and chips were very tasty and generously sized and the staff were very friendly. We came after getting caught in the rain on a hike and it was the perfect comfort food spot! Beers on tap are especially cold too, which is always appreciated. Only drawback is the space is pretty minimalist, probably because it’s new, and felt a bit sparse. Could use some greenery or art work tix create a bit more atmosphere inside.

Went with friends; the wife wanted to order grilled cod for the fish & chips for her husband; told it couldn’t be done, although they did do a grilled salmon dish. She had ordered 2 fish and chips, but cancelled the one when it was realized the batter would contain gluten which her husband can not tolerate. Both orders were cancelled so the wife sat there waiting for her food while her husband and I enjoyed our lunch.Had to go back in to reorder. I had asked for a take home box at one point, never received it; had to take my dish into the bar to request a box. And I was not impressed by the crab cakes, too thick and too much filler, not enough crab.

Dietary restrictions: Wanted the cod grilled in a fish and chips ordered; told that couldn’t be done, but they did grill an order of salmon for my friend who cannot tolerate gluten; and then cancelled the wife’s order.

Great place for a meal. Good food. Awesome view. You just have to know that their system is a little different. You line up to make your order if they’re busy and then you sit down and wait for it to come to your table. The prices are decent. The fish batter is great and I say that as somebody who doesn’t usually like the battered fish. Salmon another time was good too.
