Lix is the popular "locals" spot, seemingly because they're the first coffee shop to open each day.

The muffins change daily, and I rather enjoyed the peanutbutter chocolate chip. However, the coffee left something to be desired. If you're into Italian roasts, which tend to destroy much of the terpene profile, then this is your spot. But, to me, a good coffee tastes of various fruits and nuts.

Did I still go back every day for my 7am coffee? Sure! But I finished of with another Americano at Vorizo.

I didn't have ice cream, so I won't go into that. The coffee gets a 6/10 score from me. I've heard there's a connection between the Hornby roastery and this shop, so perhaps if they see this they might offer an alternative roast for those of us craving flavorful coffee?

Still, I'd go back daily when I come back.

Lix Icecream and Espresso on Hornby Island is a true gem! The rich, creamy ice cream flavors are a delight, and their espresso is top-notch. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a perfect spot to relax and indulge. A must-visit for anyone on Hornby Island!

We ordered a bazillion different coffees and two milk shakes. Very friendly staff alle very good coffee.

Very good ice cream but you have to be really patient. The waitresses don't really want to serve you and take a long time to calculate you even though they have seen you and I am alone.
And very expensive (8 dollars without tax for an ice cream)

Cute coffee bar/ice cream shop! One of the first places that opens in the plaza so you can get a latte while waiting for the breakfast places to open ? lattes are well made, and hot!! It can take a while to wait in line, but that seems to be the Hornby way ? embrace island time!

Very very slow as they seem to brew on spot. Co ops instant across the street. But girls are doing their best coffees pretty good.

My partner went and grabbed me a coffee while I was waking up so I can’t say anything about staff or pricing but what I can tell you is this coffee is absolutely amazing and my muffin was baked perfectly!! Really wish they had this place on the mainland. We will definitely be coming back while we are here!

Nice coffee in the morning!

Delicious ice cream anytime during the day. They have very nice coffee and croissant for breakfast. If you’re in Hornby island , then you must try them.

Great spot! Was our first stop upon arriving to Hornby for the first time, young lady was super friendly and gave some great recommendations. Coffee and muffin were perfect as well. Wonderful way to start our stay
