Very expensive for what we got. Ordered the pickerel dish and seafood udon, priced mid $30's to $40. Both dishes were average tasting. For that high end pricing level I would expect much better tasting food and higher quality. $35 for basic udon is not good value. And the venue is very rustic and does not match the price point off the menu. Service was very good at least.

Was absolutely amazing! I had the beef duo which was phenomenal in everyway and my spouse had the the Piri Piri chicken which was the best we've had. We finished the meal with the mini doughnuts with peach compote and whipped cream OMG delicious! The service was top notch as well. Our server had great recommendations and was very friendly. We will be coming back.

We had a reservation at Bichwood. The
atmosphere is really pleasant. I had the beef duo,
which was just the right portion size. The meat
was cooked to perfection and very tender. The
prices are moderate, and the staff are truly very
friendly and polite. A wonderful evening.
Not a place for a relaxing atmosphere, too crowded, noisy music, we went there for good food an guiet atmosphere.
The food is very good but we didn't expect the PEI oysters to be the tiniest we have even had. So small there is no taste at$3 each.
It is so crowded when the server flew bye she nearly knocked things off the table. They were way to busy for 2 servers to handle and the hustle and bustle ,music, made us want to eat and leave. the poor server had no time to even listen to our orders, she flew around like a chicken with her head cut off.
It is a very lovely place to go if not so busy and the Chef is excellent but please get more help and slow down so customers don't feel they must eat and run.

I love going to birchwood for dinner. The food is always delicious. This time I wanted a appetizer. Tuna poke that has gluten-free beside it. But they fry the chips in the same oil as the non gluten free food. This is a common issue in most restaurants. I am celiac. I don't have a choice, I like to eat out and I look at the menu before I go. Please either have a alternative solution or don't advertise gluten free. Invermere already lacks restaurant choices. Maybe someone needs to step up and give more options. Service is always friendly!!

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience with your restaurant. I had to cancel a reservation due to a family emergency and called well in advance to notify you. Despite my repeated attempts and leaving a detailed message, I was charged a $20 cancellation fee.
Given that the table was likely rebooked, this fee seems unnecessary. It is disheartening to feel penalized for an unforeseen circumstance, particularly when I made a genuine effort to communicate.
While I understand that cancellation policies can be OK for no shows, this practice feels unwelcoming and out of step with the hospitality I have come to expect from establishments in the Valley.
I’d hate for this restaurant to give the vibe of entitlement… as I’ve enjoyed it in the past. Ditch the cancelation fee.
