Black Forest Steak & Schnitzel Haus

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Black Forest! As a group of 6, we were able to sample a variety of their menu items and all were pleased. A couple of the schnitzel's were a bit on the dry side, while others were on point. The steak was excellent. Service was attentive and fun and we very much enjoyed the quiet, quaint Bavarian atmosphere.

Black forest restaurant is a hidden gem. Very authentic with things like rouladen on their menu. The wife and I went on a date, great spot for that. Quiet calm music, good service in Bavarian attire, great food. We shared the goulash soup and the warm buns they provide. I then had the schnitzel champignon with the black forest salad, great crispy schintzel and meal. My wife had the Rouladen, which was super tender and tasty. Good german beer on tap. All around a must try

Cute restaurant, interior is beautiful just as the outside. Clean bathroom with lots of stalls. Staff was very attentively, constantly checking in at our table. We went around 5pm without reservation, was seated immediately. After ordering, our food arrived quickly. Everything was declious. Price was pretty standard. We had a good time here. Looking forward to visiting again

We go to the Black Forest restaurant every time we go to Fairmont Hot Springs. Nothing better than a good soak and a great German dinner!!

When I was starting to plan the girls weekend months ago and I was looking through the restaurants in the area, I immediately knew I had to try this restaurant and I was not disappointed at all. A couple of the ladies had been here before but, they had wonderful things to say and everything from the food, the service ( our waitress was Annika ) the atmosphere everything was exceptional. A couple of the ladies had the 3 course special, I had the steak Neptune and the final lady in the group had steak and lobster. I will honestly say that this had to be one of the best cooked steaks I have ever eaten in my life, I just wish I had not filled up on the delicious bread first because I could not finish my steak lol. Then to finish off the meal we had the most amazing raspberry mousse that I have ever had in my life… it was beyond words. So light and full of flavour, it was the perfect ending to the meal. Honestly you made these Alberta ladies feel right at home and believe me we WILL be back again… 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️

Very cool atmosphere with wonderful service and food. The Friuli drinks were also super delicious! I'm food sensitive to a lot of things like flours and mushrooms but nothing here made me sick. I have the schnitzel cordon bleu and the raspberry mousse that came with my fiance's 3 course meal.

I got the same waitress as the first time I was here and she was so kind again. I didn't get her name but I heard she's from New Zealand!
