We had calamari for an appetizer & the classic burger with Caesar salad and my husband tried the Caesar fries. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted great! Prices were a bit high, but the quality and atmosphere was worth it.

As an avid and pretty public promoter of this restaurant our experience tonight was disappointing and actually horrible. There were multiple examples but mostly the food orders were completely wrong or missing items, the food itself was ok but at the point that it arrived we just dealt with it. At the end of it we were charged double for some of our orders! We tried to talk with the manager who didn't care at all. The server blamed the kitchen and management and the managers blamed the server. Beautiful restaurant but it unfortunately doesn't have any leadership or direction which is why it can't get good help. It's a shame as we had one of the best meals there when the new chef came in a couple years ago.

Sadly our experience here tonight was very poor. I can accept some mistakes especially when there is some accountability but there were more than a couple mistakes, there was zero accountability and the manager just blew it off and didn't care. Frankly I won't be returning, nor will I recommend it or support the establishment any longer. The night started with a drink order being missed and we couldn't get anyone's attention to have it fixed for nearly 15 minutes. Then we all ordered, meals were brought out. First the wrong order was given to one of our parties only to discover that they had run it of all three steaks the night before so they brought out a pasta dish instead. The second plate was a burger with bacon that came out withiut bacon. The third plate was a salad with a side of salmon that came without the salmon. Generally speaking the errors were corrected quickly but without apologies, just excuses. The food we received was ok, for the price it was pretty mediocre. The burgers were over cooked and the salad had little or no dressing. At the end of the meal we asked for the bill, it had an extra burger and an extra drink on it. We spoke with the manager about the multiple errors and he basically blew us off and offered no compensation or apology. The server blamed the system for the errors on the bill and instead of anyone in this restaurant accepting accountability there were just constant excuses.Very disappointed, poor service, mediocre food at steep prices. It's too bad cause the location is beautiful and earlier in the year the place was phenomenal. Clearly things have taken a drastic turn for the worse.

Very rushed. We were seated at 6:30pm, ordered our drinks and food. Our starters came and whilst we were eating, our mains came out “because the kitchen wanted to close up for the night”. We then went on to have a dessert, paid and were out by 7:45pm. Not a relaxed & romantic anniversary dinner that we had planned.

We stayed on site, so the location was great. Beautiful scenery overall. Our sever was very friendly and attentive. Food was very good, we even stayed for dessert, which we never do. We can't wait to go back.

They ran out of steaks, tuna, nachos and Vodka so the selection was very limited. It took an hour for the appetizers to arrive!! Otherwise really good. Our server was great. None of the issues were on him.

One meal lived mostly up to expectations, the other did not. Asked for apple juice, but received orange juice. Asked for scrambled eggs, but received dry toast with two poached eggs. I said I would accept the poached eggs, but being hard poached, the meal turned out to be very dry. The side salad of arugula was not dressed. The side order of pancakes turned out to be very good.

I'm sure the food and service would have rated much higher than poor had we actually been able to go to the restaurant; however, approximately one hour prior to our reservation time, we received a phone call telling us that our reservation was cancelled due to some hygiene and safety issues. Pity. Nevertheless, we will dine at Rustica in the future.

This was our second year in a row visiting Rustica for our anniversary dinner. Last year we had a phenomenal night, this year, however, was a different story. In 2022, every staff member went above and beyond by wishing us a happy anniversary (there is an option through online booking to select an anniversary as the occasion), providing a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, our server when quizzed was very knowledgeable about the different types of steak and the food was fantastic. Sitting outside was a beautiful experience with the amazing view over the valley. Overall we were made to feel very special and all involved went above and beyond. Given this experience, we decided to come back this year to celebrate our special day once again. In 2023, the menu was smaller, not one staff member wished us a happy anniversary (despite booking the same way as last year), and our server stood behind us instead of in front of us which made it awkward to communicate. On top of this, we each ordered a $60 steak and although the flavor was good, the steak came out lukewarm (not cool enough to send back, but not great either). We decided to sit inside this year due to it being a little chilly, and although we had about the best view possible from inside the restaurant, there were a few details that could easily be taken care of. The table cloth had a hole in it, the chairs are outdated, there were several dead flies around, the windows are noticeably dirty.Overall, the experience in 2023 was not what we had come to expect from 2022. With a few alterations, we feel this could be back to what it was.

Great restaurant; beautiful views of Eagle Ranch; excellent food; attentive staff. The restaurant has to try and find a way to keep the flies out... They were quite annoying while we were trying to enjoy our meal. Otherwise top marks!

While on a week long road trip across BC and Alberta, we ended up staying at the Headwaters by chance when a forest fire cancelled our plans in Cranbrook. We got the Stay and Dine deal and we are sure glad we did. Our server was Rob and he is a stand out of our trip, and we have been in a lot of restaurants this last week. He was enthusiastic, kind and helpful. He has a great demeanor and we appreciated his gentle sense of humor. The food was really great and we loved the Sirloin and pasta that we had.

Really wanted to like our dinner but was disappointed. We found the food lacked flavour and the cocktails were watery. Staff were friendly but the service was very slow. Hate spending $100+ per person for a birthday dinner to leave unhappy. Beautiful views but food doesn't stand up and with the open doors, the dining room has a fly/bug issue. Probably won't return unfortunately.

Came for our son's birthday. Staff were friendly but the service was slow... The appetizers were tasty but small. Main courses were in my opinion not worth the money. Wanted to like the dinner but for the total cost, the food and drinks lacked flavour.

Great foods and great service!! Large windows overlooking beautiful view of golf course and river.

First of all, the service was outstanding. The food was delicious and my steak was cooked perfectly. The view from the outside seating was really nice, with the mountains glowing in the late evening sun. I look forward to returning and dining here again.
