the manager of this restaurant is extremely rude and she treats people very poorly! we went there right as they opened at 5:00 p.m. We do not have a reservation, but the restaurant was completely empty. I was told that the only place to sit was at the bar which was extremely frustrating because we were coming up there for a good steak dinner and I was not wanting to spend over $200 on a steak dinner sitting at a bar where all the chefs are sitting there staring at you and within sneezing distance.
We had a couple appetizers and a bottle of wine at the bar for about an hour and a half at that time they told us that a table magically opened up. It was the same table that was completely empty since we walked in through the door. We had a great steak but the service was extremely disappointed as well. Our glasses sat empty for over 45 minutes, basically we got sat at the table, moved our drinks over to that table, ordered our steaks, which took about 30 minutes did not see the server during that time.
He dropped off our stakes and then we had to flag him down to get the bill 30 minutes after our meal was done.
Overall extremely disappointed in the service and staff!!!
When you charge a premium you should get premium service. Our bill was over $400 before tip and it left us extremely disappointed and we will not be going back to this restaurant again.

Let me start off by saying, yes, this place is VERY expensive BUT in my opinion worth every penny. Do not walk in here expecting to get anything cheap, the best you can hope for is the Taste Around Kamloops Menu, for $59 per person, which is what I did and I would happily return (on occasion) for full price. We started with an amuse bouche and though I'm not 100% what it was, it seemed to be a fried rice ball, it was amazing. Melted in your mouth and a small taste was all one needed. Next was the appetizer, we both had the Smoked Potato Chowder, this had far to much smoke taste and salt for my taste but it was still very pleasant. I had the House-Smoked Chicken as a main and my husband had the 9oz petit filet (which he did pay extra to up grade to 9oz), he wanted it medium rare, but it was so under cooked in sections that he debated sending it back, he did enjoy the taste of the sections which were cooked to his preference and the béarnaise sauce was excellent. My House- Smoked Chicken was cooked perfectly but with skin on, something I don't like so I had to peel that off, the mashed potato were well seasoned and the baby carrots had the perfect crunch. Dessert was wonderful, I had the Chocolate Peanut Bar which was good but thank god for the sea salt on top to cut through the richness of it all, a small slice was all that was needed on account of how heavy the dessert was, the caramel popcorn was not needed, it was not good and did nothing to add to the bar. My husband had the pavlova cheesecake he enjoyed it, it was a nice bite to complete the meal, silky and melted in the mouth, perfect size. The atmosphere was top shelf, we had a window by the patio and light music played, we could talk and just enjoy our own company. No harsh lighting, just warm glow from the kitchen and faux candles. I really enjoyed the experience despite skin-on chicken or under cooked steak, our wait staff was amazing, so attentive and very helpful with questions with regards to the menu.

My partner and I visited for our anniversary Saturday night. We were both very happy with our experience. The food was delicious; he had lamb, I had the smoked chicken breast, and we both had the lobster bisque (Ohhh-mg the scallop in the bisque). The atmosphere was great (the live piano player has quite the repertoire!), and the bananas foster, which was prepared tableside, was an exciting end to the evening.

I just want to start by saying Jessica our Server was absolutely amazing.
First coming in the restaurant we were attended to right away and seated in the perfect cozy part of the restaurant for my special day (Birthday). Once seated we were immediately greeted by our server Jessica. She helped with the wine selections after allowing us a chance to taste a few to ensure the best wine for the evening. Following the explanations of the starter menu in a detailed manner which gave me such confidence in my selections. Props to the chefs that made the dishes, they are curated and made to perfection (I loved them so much).
After ordering Jessica prepared table-side the Tomahawk Steak Peppercorn sauce which was sooooo delicious!
Also want to mention the Baked Alaska was to-die-for.

Honestly pretty disappointed with how our evening went. I made a reservation and took my wife here for a late valentines celebration. Our interaction with the host was lovely but unfortunately the good service ended once our server came over. We seemed to have made her annoyed with us immediately when following the hosts recommendation we asked about a happy hour item in the last couple minutes of happy hour, we did not come for happy hour but we followed the advice to try something. Our server seemed very annoyed by this. The place was not full yet it took a long time for her to take our drink orders and when we ordered a bottle of wine it took a while for her to come back claiming it was not cold enough just yet, which I imagine to mean the wine had not been stocked, we would have ordered a different wine but did not feel that was open to us. We waited for the wine and then received a pretty warm bottle for service. That is all minor issues that I am sure were beyond our server's control. What was in her control was her attitude towards us, it was cold unfriendly service, she stopped in the middle of making the table side sauce to go speak with and assist another table, without saying anything to us or the table calling her over. I am sure she felt she would be receiving a larger tip from them and felt like they were more of a priority. There was zero engagement with us, we were left with a cluttered table and diry dishes for quite a while. The most interaction we had with her was when she dropped containers off but then was clearing away the plates of food before we could put the food away. My wife was super excited to try the baked alaska, but after seeing how we were essentially ignored and just not cared about despite spending nearly $300 up to that point, we decided to cut our evening short. It was especially disheartening to see how lovely and hard working the other staff members were and how lovely they were engaging with their tables, wishing we might have been afforded the same level of excellent hospitality we were watching. We are not sure what we did to offend our server but on an evening we dressed up and came prepared to spend a hefty amount it was certainly a let down.

Lovely dinner overall. It was the Taste Around Kamloops menu, which was delicious and perfectly paired with wine. One of the best desserts I have had. The service was amazing and our server made our night so perfect. Mushroom risotto, caesar salad and peanut butter bar...Highly recommend!!
Service and vibes were great. Wine pairings were great. Food was nothing exceptional, mediocre at best. The soup was unseasoned, it was as if the chef didn't taste it, had to add lots of salt.

Shaun J was amazing he was our server, my boyfriend and I were recommend to come to Atlas by Facebook. The food was so good, we got fries, a tomahawk to share and a baked Alaska after. Our sever Shaun J was fantastic, very attentive and cooked the sauce and the dessert right at the table. Was a great experience I have never had before. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much!
