I had such a great experience at Embers! Our server, Bailey, was absolutely amazing and incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming the entire time. She made the visit feel extra special. The service overall was top-notch, and the food was fantastic. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and exceeded expectations.
Definitely recommend stopping in, and if you’re lucky enough to get Bailey as your server, you’re in great hands!

Our group had a fantastic experience at Embers recently! Our server was friendly and personable, and made excellent recommendations. The food was stellar (Oh Canada pizza and Caesar salad) and we enjoyed a beer flight to taste several unique brews. This place is a hidden gem in Kamloops. Plus there’s a pool table and pinball! We will definitely be back.

The wings were amazing. I saw the dry sauce less wings and thought oh no but they were perfectly smoked and seasoned. The nachos on the other hand had no cheese salsa or sour cream. I was really disappointed. We won’t be back.

Visited for a late lunch today. Ordered a cheese burger and fries. Was disappointed to have a dry, flavourless burger, the only saving grace was a mildly tangy sauce. The fries were Luke warm, oily and soggy. The service was neither good or bad. Despite there being only 2 other people there, service was slow, and did not take the feedback about the food seriously. Hopefully the food and service is better later in the day/week.

This used to be our “go to” place downtown, under the previous owners. Ordered two pizza and two orders of dry wings. Pizza was so dry and burnt on bottom with hardly any toppings. Wings very dry and overcooked also, sadly no longer our go to spot..

I was worried about loosing alchemy charm. But embers have certainly kept it! The updated they made are amazing. I think the beer is even better than before! And the food is high level quality. I love that they kept the trivia nights. Too often there isnt enough going on in this town on the weekends for locals and seeing a brewery be more than just a hang out spot is refreshing. The new owners seem to know what they are doing I sampled all their beers, and they have certainly perfected their stouts. Black velvet is the thing you need to try. Thanks Embers for keeping what I loved about alchemy and adding new things to love!
Took over an hour to get food and to boot every table around us go theirs even after arriving 30min later. Wife's pizza cold poutine was crazy spicy with no warning (I don't do spicy). Horrible experience. Never going back. Had such high hopes.

Dined here on a Saturday night and tried again the next eve. Most of the staff were great. Waited a bit long after being seated for anyone to take our order, but server was very apologetic over a miscommunication and was great! Food was absolutely incredible- based on that alone I would eat here again. In fact we chose to go back the next night for a late dinner again, rather than trying a new spot. Unfortunately, we were unknowingly too late. I find it odd to be allowed to be seated, only to be told the kitchen was closed at 8:30pm. As we turned to leave once the hostess informed us, a man popped his head out to the patio tell us quite rudely “the kitchen is closed”. I responded that we didn’t know! (Why would we when the hostess was seating us, menus in hand, and we also walked past another freshly seated table reviewing the menu?) He sassed back “We close at 9!” Again I said “we didn’t know!” He then very rudely, and loudly exclaimed “ITS SUNDAY!”. Again as someone staying next door in the hotel from out of town, on a LONG weekend, I’m not sure how we were to know that! I naturally expected a long weekend Sunday to be like a Saturday, and no, I didn’t check the closing time as we walked in, as I just simply didn’t think to. The hostess should never have seated us, but since she was a very young teen, I personally don’t hold her responsible for any of this. Maybe rules are different for brewhouses in BC than AB. I just found the experience odd over all, and unimpressed with the gentleman’s attitude towards us. Saturday night hosted a trivia night- was fun to unofficially ‘play along’ from outside on the patio with our table.
Final note for anyone staying at the Thompson nextdoor - hotels guest get a 15% discount. We didn’t see that on the card in room until after, as we just dropped our bags and went straight to eat after a long travel day.
Over all, I wouldn’t allow this one odd experience to stop us from returning to try again. The food outweighed our experience by a mile. Highly recommend the food and overall atmosphere was great!
