I am writing this review for my neighbour, who is not on Facebook. Sorry to say that she was not impressed. The Paris Brest, didn’t have cream in it. Mocha Pastry, did not have any Mocha taste and it was very dry. She was very disappointed, being from Paris, she thought she had found a French bakery that she could enjoy….. also she found it to be very expensive.

Best pastries, cakes and cookies in Kamloops! Have purchased multiple different items here over the years and our favourite is the cheesecake! Absolutely to die for! The cakes are made with real buttercream!

Oct 22/24 UPDATE - 5 Stars - Still Amazing! Was able to stop in this past Saturday and picked up three orders of the Eggs Benedict for my Sales Reps. So impressed - may be the best Hollandaise in memory - perfectly soft yolks - well seasoned potatoes - generous portions with warm and friendly staff!
Well done!
Please keep it up!
P.S. What is the secret cheese in the Ham and Cheese croissant? Not all that upset I have to get a croissant to get some of that cheese but I suspect you could market it all on its own. Let me know if that happens.

Amazing! Our community is fortunate to have such a talented pastry chef! Five stars everyday.
Clearly some people are shopping out of their league!

Very busy shop, small and a little crowded. Customer service was really good though. There was a big line up of people deciding what they wanted. A worker went down the line and helped whoever was ready first. I was in and out quickly. The presentation is great, everything in the display case looks beautiful and yummy. They have no prices on the items though, which was weird. I personally like knowing how much I'm spending before picking an item. I tried the chocolate biscotti and a red velvet cake. The biscotti was very good, I dipped it in coffee I made at home. Sadly the cake was very dry. I ate less then half of it and threw the rest away. I was hoping it was just the edges that had been exposed to air after being sliced, but there was just no moisture in the cake at all.

The cakes sold at this bakery are slightly overpriced, but since there are no other sophisticated bakeries in Kamloops, it is my only option when needed.
However, the customer service I experienced today was disappointing.
The sales associate asked me in a rude tone, "It's $60, do you still want to buy it?"
As a customer who had already selected the cake I desired, I felt uncomfortable and disrespected.
Although I understood that she may have been concerned about my ability to afford the cake, her question and tone were inappropriate.
Regardless, I purchased $90 to avoid disappointing my daughter.
I hope this feedback reaches the management so that they are aware of the challenges their customers need to deal with.

Went for lunch with my sister. We both ordered the special, chicken quesadilla. Hers came right anway, and the gal said mine would be right out. Ten minutes later still nothing so went back in to check, again told will be right out. There was quite a number of people in the back so not sure what happened. At the 15-20 minute mark I went back in to cancel, as they were delivering two other ladies their lunch, who had ordered quite a while after us.
When I asked for a refund she couldn’t figure out how to do that so ended up giving me cash. I won’t go back for lunch

Very good pastries but very expensive. I only had 1 coffee espresso and it was 5.50$. I believe the quality but too much it's costly for my opinion.

The customer service I received yesterday was awful. The girl did not even acknowledge me, and as I waited in line for my turn to order, she assisted the woman behind me. She had no manners at all and did not even say hello. Perhaps she did not hear my order, but I repeated myself three times and she still didn’t hear me even though I was loud and clear. It is unfortunate that I had to take a cab for $20 just to get some breakfast, and that I was treated like this. Hope nobody experiences this and she is educated on how to provide excellent customer service in the future.

Incredible! I was so impressed with the quality and service at Gold Leaf. We picked up a variety of pastries to bring to our friend’s place and everybody loved them. Total crowd pleaser and their ham and cheese croissant was the best I’ve ever had! Thanks for the amazing service and delicious food.

I ordered gluten-free desserts for an event with 60 people and was thrilled with the food and service. The desserts were incredibly delicious and the whole ordering and pick-up process was easy.
