Would love to order for delivery from them. Heard lots of good things. I live just on the other side of the bridge from the north shore to westsyde but they don’t deliver past the bridge I guess ?

All thought the pizza was delicious it was not the amount of topping that we have regularly received in the passed. It was supposed to to a double pepperoni double cheese with bacon and normally we are very impressed with this pizza. Today it looked smaller and did not look like the topping were doubled.
Pizza was delicious! just hope it’s cut next time?

Tried to dine-in in June, got heavily ignored for 15 minutes. Apparently the only one who pays attention to customers was on a delivery so we left. Just ordered for delivery last night as we were still curious about the food. Delivery was a normal wait time so that was fine. The pizza was super piled with cheese (I love cheese by the way) and it got too greasy too fast. I really wanted to like this place but the price for the quality of pizza just wasn't it.

Inconsistency. I’ve ordered from them four times, and won’t ever again. I’ve tried the pizza, the ribs, the Greek kalamari platter, and the baked pasta. The Greek kalamari dinner was good. The pizza was very inconsistent. I love pizza, and ordered pizza from Hermes four different times, giving them chances, hoping they’d redeem themselves, but never did. Again, inconsistency was the biggest takeaway from my pizza experience. I recall the pizza being overcooked, making the crust hard and pretty much burned on the bottom a couple times. I also recall the pizza being a bit on the salty side. One time out of four, the pizza was mediocre at best. Sadly, it was the toughest ribs and most watery baked pasta I’ve had in my life. Too bad because I like to support small local guys, but can’t order from them anymore.
This review is for the new Black Pine restaurant that was formerly Hermes. This was probably the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Came in the kitchen side with my kids and was not even greeted by staff, so made the assumption that we should go in the other entry into the seating area. After sitting there for about 10 minutes and watching another party come and go because they were confused and waited too long, I went back into the kitchen side to ask if I should order there. A very nice man tcqme up and told me they were very short staffed and he would come talk to me as soon as he could. We got our order in and waited a long while as the three people working were doing their best. In the meantime I took my son to the bathroom. It was absolutely disgusting. And there wasn’t even any toilet paper on the roll. The decor was cute but very slapstick. Seemed like it was all done in plywood. The tables were rickety and lopsided. The pizza finally came and it was fine, but the salad I ordered was comical. It was listed on the menu for seventeen dollars. I nearly laughed out loud when the sweet boy working in the kitchen sat it in front of me. It was a tiny bowl of chopped romaine with some cheese, raw mushroom, green peppers, and sliced black olives tossed in what was most likely bottled creamy dressing. There were like 4 small chunks of smoked chicken in it. I could have bought it from a gas station. The photo I’ve added to this review speaks for itself. Oh, and at the time the food came we had been given neither water nor utensils. I don’t feel the staff were to blame for this poor experience, more likely it was poor management that was the issue. Thankfully the kind waiter/cook took the sad salad off the bill. I will not be going back unless I hear of a major improvement. It’s unfortunate, because it’s a sweet concept and Westsyde could really use a nice place to eat. I hope the owners can iron out the kinks and improve the experience of dining at the Black Pine.
I love Black Pines pizza, it's soo delicious, and the delivery person is always so polite, great service all around. Thank you for our yummy Father's Day Dinner.

3 total stars. All will be explained in-depth below. I told them I was around the corner and would pick up, and was told 30-45 mins. I understand it's NYE but I got there within 35 minutes of the phone call and my food was sitting in a warming oven.If I say I'm around the corner I should be told a more exact timing, instead of the cookie cutter response delivery orders receive. I like my take out to be fresh as possible; which is why I prefer to pick-up.That said, if you've made it this far, the food was as delicious as food that's sat for a few minutes collecting condensation in a togo bag can be. Five stars regarding food quality, taste and portioning; especially for a small restaurant serving a small community. I can't imagine what it would taste like absolutely fresh, and will have to sit there to eat sometime; if that's allowed.I gave 3 stars for service for the reasons already provided above, as well as the personal interaction I had with the girl serving behind the counter. The lady that I met on her way to do a delivery was super nice and personable. The girl behind the counter seemed extremely distracted, and she was just boxing a pizza + grabbing my food out of the warming space. I gave a tip, barely a thank you or anything, and I was super polite; as always.I believe in leaving extremely honest reviews, and I hope this review won't be taken down. One has previous to this, and there was no due cause. I will be trying to eat here again, and I hope this review doesn't affect quality, service, or anything else in a negative manner. If I were running a business I'd prefer an honest review over fake sugar coated and simple "It was great"s anyday.Edit: I forgot to mention why atmosphere received such a low score of 2 stars. I believe service is included in atmosphere so you can include my statement above in this, but the place was quite messy for a place with no dine in customers; and someone behind the counter who could probably tidy up between orders. It only takes a few seconds to clean up after a customer; and again I understand it's NYE; but I judge a business based on what I would expect of myself if I was working behind that counter.Happy NYE & I hope you have a wonderful 2023.

Over a hour for delivery, outrageously priced, ice cold food. Will never order from them again .
Not sure what to compare it to as I never ordered from Hermes. What I can say about the pizza? It was average and I wanted it to be more than average. Fries were decent.
Me and my kids had a large Hawaiian pizza and three iced teas. Pizza was delicious! No complaints here
Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs
Did pick up on the way home from the water park and it wasn’t quite ready as I was early. It’s great parking, right out front, you can see your car, but I hate leaving my kids even for a second, and it’s way too hot to turn the car off, way too hot to haul them inside. Two very nice guys working, one of them could feel my anxiety and offered to run it out to me, I really appreciated that thoughtful service. The pizza was next level delicious, wow, I highly recommend, can’t wait to go back!
