The food was great. The atmosphere is nice. I found the cooks awesome. The food was good. The three servers I have seen are always friendly. They do a great job.
Got food poisoning
Waited 35-40 past my order pick up time to get soggy food. Not very good.
Ordered our uber eats and waited over 30 mins after the pick up time ridiculous and won’t be back. Do better
Fantastic food will be stopping in again for sure.
Always delicious. The food choices are all so good and so fresh. And then the chef and his flat griddle is fascinating.4
Pathetic taste.
Food is good, but it leaves a lot to be desired, and even tho it's an all you can eat the price doesn't feel justified by the lack of service
Look, it’s not perfect. But if you wind up downtown Kamloops for dinner, it’s your best bet. No, the sauces don’t have ingredients listed, but some are clearly safe (soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, garlic…). You can build your own stir fry with rice noodles, tofu and veggies, and it’s quite tasty. It all goes on the same grill, but they scrape the [censored] out of between dishes, and if it bothers you you can ask them to clean it further. Some of the BEST food I have had at an all you can eat. Very fresh and amazing flavors!

Always love Hoja! One of my favorite spots in kamloops.
Moved to Victoria last year and was just back in town for the weekend and as usual they didn't disappoint - 5 stars all the way
My wife, daughter, and I went there for dinner. ( 3 adults) we order all you can eat for $28 a plate. My wife ate half a plate. My daughter and I had a plate and a half of food. Ast the waitresses for a to go container. The waitresses said if she doesn't finish then there will be a $10 leftover fee. To reduce waste. How is it waste if your taking it home ? Why charge an extra $10 when your all ready paying $28 for the meal. How the meal is $38 for 1 plate. We are very pissed about this. It's a ripe off...
$28
$28
$28 + 10
= 94 plus tax.
I have eaten multiple times at Hoja Kamloops in the past, but this might be my last time after this experience.
I brought my family out (total of about 6 people) for the dinner time buffet. Most of us only had two servings of the buffet, but my sister and I decided to go for a third and final serving with very little portions of noodles and meat. We placed our bowls on the counter area where the chef usually takes them. He gave us a look and took the bowls while conversing with his co-chef in what I presumed to be his native tongue. His co-chef would occasionally give me and my sister glances as they spoke. We did not understand so we thought they might just be talking about something general and not us specifically. While this happened, people from another table closer to the counter brought their servings to be cooked. The folks that brought their servings seemed to speak the same language as the chef. The chef and the other customers exchanged a few words while laughing a bit. My sister and I continued to wait on our servings. The chef served up the people that came after us (who had decently massive portions) before serving us. After waiting for about 10 minutes we got our servings and half of the noodles were burnt from being on the flat top grill for so long. I politely told the chef that half the noodles were burnt and he told us to go back to the line and get a new servings if we wanted while seeming uninterested in our complaints. The dude did not even apologize or acknowledge what was wrong. I told him it was fine and took the food to our table. I only ate the meat and informed the waitress that I'm not eating the serving as it was burnt. The waitress saw the food and apologised, confirming that it was burnt and that we didn't have to finish it. I paid for the group and only tipped at the end because the waitress had given great service while we were there. I don't usually leave bad reviews like this, but this was completely unprofessional. If you (the chef) don't like your job or are prejudiced towards people having more than two servings, maybe quit, as a buffet styled restaurant is not the place for you.
Edit: Hoja called me today. The waitress apologised for the service and said they had a meeting to discuss how to provide better customer service. I'll revisit and see how they do before deciding if things has changed or not, but that is a step in the right direction for sure.
My absolute FAVORITE place to eat in kamloops! I've been coming here for 10+years and it never disappoints!
