Shark Club Sports Bar & Grill

The servers were doing their best - very hard working (literally running at times) but were very much under staffed which lead to lots of waits and some mistakes. They accidentally overcharged us and it took over 30 min to get it fixed because they were so busy.

We booked reservations for the Bryan Adams concert! Big Mistake we arrived at 6, she took our order at 6:10. We did not our drinks until 6:45. The drinks were all made incorrectly, my friend got tequila instead of vodka. One of the drinks did not have any alcohol in it. The food wasn't there until the concert started. We were late for the concert, had horrible food, got 2 drinks all incorrectly made.

We arrived for our reservation at 5:15 and we're seated quickly but that was when the trouble started. First drink order took 20 minutes. Nothing special, two glasses of wine. Took another 10 mi uses to take our food order. At 7:15 we left with no food yet delivered to our table. Horrendous service. Two hours and no food was brought out. Further, not even asked if we wanted another drink. No proactive service twlling us what the issues were. When we asked we were advised the kitchen was overwhelmed due to a concert next door. No excuse as this is not the first concert in Kamloops and there are probably 40 blazer games every year. The manager appeared clueless to finding out solutions. Maybe stop seating new tables if you can't serve the business you have!

The food was really good when we finally got it. It seemed to take a while. We ordered drinks when they brought us our food. We ate and then waited for a least 25 minutes. We talked to two different guys in suits that worked there about our drinks. They both said they would look into it and make sure we got our drinks as we were on a time limit and had a concert to go to. We did not see either suit guy go talk to the bar or our waitress and they never came back. We never received our drinks and finally the waitress came back to ask if we needed anything, we had to ask for our bill and cancel those 4 drinks. I understand that it got super busy because of the concert but it seemed like all the waitresses were standing around the bar for a very long time all looking very confused. Anyways the food was really good just slow service and we left very thirsty. Lol I would come back as the food was really good.

Overall, tonight was a dissapointing experience and I don't believe that we'll be back anytime soon.
Our poutine came out cold, and they forgot the beef. When they did bring out the beef, it too was cold.
I asked for a chicken burger with lettuce subbed for the bun. It proceeded to come out with a bun. I mentioned that I asked for the substitution, they apologized and took it back inside.
By the time my burger arrived in a bed of lettuce, it too was cold and void of any tzatziki. Why? Because they just scraped it off the bun.
No asking if the customer is celiac or had dietary restrictions.
There's a breakdown somewhere in this establishment and I believe it has to do with the wait staff. There was no urgency or hospitality in the way the waitresses moved, they took orders and brought food out at their own pace. These young waitresses don't value their customers experience enough to be prompt and efficient.

From travelling through USA over the past month, then arriving in Canada a few weeks ago, there was a significant difference in the friendliness with Canadian people. Arriving in Kamloops last night from the Rocky Mountaineer Train, Alysha was our host for dinner. What an incredible lady, nothing was too much trouble, she was very attentive, her friendliness was a breath of fresh air. She is an asset to your team. Thank you so much Alysha from Alex and Linda from Australia 🦘.

I ordered streak frites, fries and Caesar salad, and the entire meal was subpar. The fries had a stale taste like it was fried in old oil, and the salad seemed to come straight from a salad kit. Drinks and appetizers were decent enough.

First time I’ve ever been disappointed by a salad in a restaurant. The Tex max salad was basically 1000 island dressing with a smattering of corn, beans, and a hint of avocado smeared on the haphazardly chopped lettuce. Literally trash. If I owned or worked in the kitchen of this restaurant, I would be truly embarrassed at the quality of food being served. Zero care into the flavours or presentation. And somehow, the service was as bad as the food. Will not return to any Shark.

Horrendous service. Server forgot to take one of our orders and we ended up waiting over an hour for basic food. When food arrived, we were all disappointed. Almost nobody else in the restaurant… and there’s a reason!

We both had the spagetti and meatballs. Honestly it was terrible. Bland despite having what sounded like delicious ingredients. The value also, terrible. Won't be back

Asked for a to go iced tea and everywhere else had closed. They had my fav iced tea. Server was also pretty :) felt i acted a little awkwardly but thats okay. Price was superb. 10/10

The food was good, the drinks were cold. All in all Shark club did not disappoint... unlike the Oilers.
