It’s been a long time since we’d eaten here but we remembered the nice patio they had so we thought we’d try it again. The patio is even nicer than we had remembered, right on the river, beautiful views, high glass to block the wind and canvas sails overhead to provide shade. The service has excellent as was the food. They have a good selection of local wines and beer and the prices were reasonable. We particularly appreciated the fact that the background music was just that, not the blaring rough stuff that so many places use.

We loved the shepherd pie. Eli favorite.

Great food ideas. The steak was flavorless. The chicken skins taste great, but the skin was soggy under the batter. My drink sat empty many times, and I had to call the server over to get me another. An empty glass never happens in Alberta. Maybe this is normal in BC.

Quite simply one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. Friendly service, and EXCELLENT food. Food is prepared fresh to order, and it shows. We had: for appies- bone marrow, beet salad, and hush puppies. Mains- pork schnitzel, and chef’s special venison tenderloin on gnocchi, wild mushrooms, crispy brussel sprouts and beet purée (aka a bed of vegetable amazingness). Dessert- warm choc lava cake and hazelnut cheesecake. Plus an excellent bar with lots of local options. Alex and Heather became the new proprietors in 2016 and have really put together a special menu, you need to set aside some time and experience this place.

Visiting from Calgary, I chose Storms to have my birthday celebration. Everything was excellent! Drinks, food and service were all amazing! Thank you Storms for being the perfect end to a wonderful day!

The scallops are to die for! Cooked to perfection and served with a finger licking sauce. Bone marrow came in a more than average size serving and was also done real well. Warm professional service from all staff members too!

Dude, so good. Went there last night. Get the calimari...and don't share. It will cause a fork war. The créme brulé was magic. I have tried so many from around the world and this one is by far my favourite. No matter what you think, yes, you do have room for it. The sauce that comes with the duck is cray, the garlic mashed poataoes are off the hook, the filet minion is a home run, the pasta is a dream, and the bannok that comes with the bone marrow is fluffy af. The view is great and worth every penny.

Storms has been a Kamloops favorite for many years now. Love pulling up to the dock for appies; meals on the patio. Service has been slow last couple of sit downs (and i mean really slow) but the food was great as usual and we were not rushed. New owners please add more or better servers!

We have been to Storms many times and never been disappointed. However, I am now a whole foods plant based eater and was very disappointed to see that Storms doesn’t have a single non-meat, non-egg based dinner option. 10% of Canadians claim to be fully vegan or vegetarian and as many as 25% of British Columbians are or have tried to be vegan or vegetarian according to the most recent government surveys I have seen. I will sadly have to book my husband’s dinner party elsewhere as there are a couple of us in the group who are vegetarian or vegan. If the owners want to stay on top of their game, they need to acknowledge that society demands non animal selections and the demand is increasing.

Birthday celebration attended. Service was great but the food was not great. Risotto was WAY over seasoned. Swimming in coconut oil and not seasoned with saffron, but buckets of turmeric. Seafood was sparse and overcooked. Drinks mediocre. They still need to get the place cleaned up and updated. Such a shame that this place is dying one meal at a time.

Excellently prepared food. Good selection on the menu and I would have to say mediums priced. The setting is lovely in a glassed in patio on the river with a view of Mount Paul, The waitstaff was very helpful and kept my wine glass full. I did not have dessert as My tummy was too full after my entre'
