I hope this message is seen. We were on our road trip from Surrey. On our way back from Saskatchewan, we entered this restaurant at 10:48 PM on July 10th and we were told that the restaurant is closed. We asked them if they are able to pack the food for us, the server spoke to another girl and she said No. The girl came to us & said the kitchen is very busy and they can not serve us. We stepped out and saw the timings of the restaurant which said the hours as 11:30 to 12:00. We were clearly declined the service because they did not wanted to. The server had a more than one hour from the closing time and yet we were declined the food.
I am from the hospitality sector and I wish the owner of Ustaad G sees this. The kitchen is busy and restaurant is earning revenue - that is a good sign. We are sorry to have this experience here.
I presume they should learn something from Indian Ocean restaurant in Calgary on 2102 Glenmore CT. Unlike Ustagg G. We entered this place only 5 minutes from closing and the server said we can not dine in, but she offered to give the takeout order. We were so thankful to the girl there.
We live in Surrey and we always have enjoyed Ustaad G restaurant service here.

Not worth it. I wouldn’t call this Indian food or an Indian restaurant. Service was mid and atmosphere is kinda wack. The food was terrible. Either cold or plain or not made properly. Save your money and go somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend. I don’t even think the places is legal and up to code lol bathrooms are the size of an airplanes bathrooms.
Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant itself is but the bathrooms are definitely not.

Ustaad G Punjabi Restaurant is a true gem that brings the vibrant flavors of Punjab right to your table! I recently ordered takeout, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water in anticipation.
Every dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, showcasing the rich and authentic spices that define Punjabi cuisine. From the Pav bhaji to the flavorful mix veg & Amritsar kulcha each bite was a burst of deliciousness. The tandoori roti was perfectly soft and fluffy, complementing the dishes perfectly.
What impressed me most was the quality of the ingredients and the generous portions.If you're looking for a taste of Punjab that will leave you craving more, Ustaad G Punjabi Restaurant is a must-try. Highly recommended for takeout or dine-in!

Recently just ordered some chana masala along with other dishes on the phone and where do I begin! It was horrible, it was all bland in taste. The only reason I am uploading this review is because of the chana masala it was so oily, literally tasted like someone has poured oil into a tub of chole, no taste, no masala! I don’t recommend UstaadG as there are other Indian restaurants that serve better food! Seriously disappointed because the Surrey location served excellent food. From everything ordered the dal makhani was the only decent sabzi. I would never order again.
I just made a call at 11:36pm for order and they said no more takeout and dine in order. Why you guys show working hours from 12 am to 12 pm?

The food was mediocre at best. I have enjoyed better elsewhere. We did not appreciate the high volume of Indian rap music playing over the speakers. I asked our server to turn it down but it only lasted for a short time. Rather than a pleasant dining experience that I paid $$ for, I just couldn't wait to finish my meal and leave. I will not be returning.
