Food was amazing, so thrilled to have Bangladeshi menu in a restaurant here in Kamloops. All the items were so flavourful. Morog Polao, kalabhuna and the bhorta platter was amazing.

I had a great experience at Zaika. Beautiful interior, newly renovated. They have done some fantastic job after the ownership change, and I am very happy for them.

We tried many different items. Here are some brief reviews:

Beef Kala Bhuna (forgot to take the photo): an authentic Bangladeshi cuisine. Good portion and they served it with complimentary rice and salad. 10/10

Chicken Sheek Kabab: sizzling, comes with sauteed vegetables. 8.5/10

Goat Curry Platter: huge portion. Delicious gravy with super tender flavorful goat meat. Served with Nans, rice, garlic pickle and salad. 9/10

Deep Fried Momo: Again come with a great portion. I usually go for traditional steamed momo but I am glad that I tried this fried version. 8/10

Doi Fuchka: This is a famous street food in Bangladesh and in Southern Asian region. They kept is simple and served fresh. A great option as a starter. Sweet, sour and spicy goodness in every crunchy suji/semolina ball filled with potato smash and chat masala. It's an emotion and it doesn't require much ratings :')

100% halal. The staffs, chef, the owner everyone was busy serving the customers to the best of their ability. I am looking forward to trying the other items from the menu. I heard The Morog Polao (Rice with chicken roast) is their bestseller and I will try it next time.

This is by far the best Halal Indo Pakistani I have tried in Interior BC. Everyone who visits Kamloops must try this. Everything was made to perfection and the service is excellent. It was so amazing we drove from Sun Peaks 2 nights in a row. It is that GOOD!!!

I experienced excellent customer service, and I truly appreciate the owner or owners for the effort and care they put into everything. My family and I have traveled extensively and tried many cuisines, including Bangladeshi food in different places, but several items on this menu really stood out.
The “beef kalabhuna” deserves special mention—it is hands down the best I’ve had among Bangladeshi restaurants in BC. The beef was incredibly soft and tender, cooked to perfection. The tandoori chicken was also delicious, and my family absolutely loved the “ morog polaw”. We also really enjoyed the fuchka, which brought back authentic flavors from back home.
I do have two small suggestions: the spice level of the bhuna khichuri could be reevaluated to better balance the heat, and if the black milk tea were boiled a bit longer—Bangladesh-style—it might achieve that richer thickness we’re used to.
I truly admire the courage and motivation it takes to bring authentic Bangladeshi cuisine to life. The hard work is clearly reflected in the quality, clarity, and taste of the food. I’m also looking forward for meal (tiffin) service if you have any future thoughts on it! Wishing you continued success!

The Bangladeshi menu items are definitely a must try. We had the bhuna khichuri and beef kala vuna as well as the dal puri! Every single bite was worth the price! Khichuri was very flavourful and definitely is a top notch quality.

The portion size of the beef and the authentic taste of kala vuna makes it stand out of all other kala vuna I have tried all over the nation (I have experiences dining in the bangladeshi restaurants in toronto, calgary & vancouver).

The most amazing thing about the dining was the decor and atmosphere as well as the service from the owners! The restaurant has multiple tables and he was able to connect with everyone and was actually showing great hospitality. If you think of getting an afternoon snack if chai and puri with your friends, this is the place to go.

Being a professional chef in the industry for many years, I can tell the new ownership has brought the ultimate blend authenticity, ambience and atmosphere in kamloops! Great work!
