About Grist Mill & Gardens at Keremeos

Grist Mill & Gardens at Keremeos is an Okanagan gem with rich history and stunning gardens. Visitors can explore the working mill and its restoration, as well as a small museum showcasing the 1880s pioneering times in BC. The grounds are beautifully groomed and maintained for leisurely enjoyment, with a peaceful campground nearby featuring a small creek where kids can catch rocks or tiny fish, making it a great spot to stay. The site also hosts events and workshops that are very informative and stay true to the mill's history.

The restaurant offers locally sourced cuisine, with dishes like the Ploughman's Lunch, which includes lots of fresh fruit. It’s a lovely place to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful garden, the stream, and the sounds of birds. The staff is friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. Visitors have praised tasting Woodford oven baked zucchini bread and apricots right off the tree, along with a small gift shop filled with local preserves and treats. The living museum truly takes guests back in time, and the charming setting makes it a perfect stop when traveling to or from Osoyoos. With restored history, knowledgeable volunteers, and wonderful food, it’s a place visitors will want to return to.

I absolutely loved it here. Caring people, magnificent gardens and sounding breadth of knowledge. I will back again

This is the third year in a row that we’ve camped in the creek side campground and the tradition will certainly continue. Between the chilled creek and the Grist Mill adventures, our whole family enjoyed themselves. We caught a concert one evening and the kids had fun baking in the outdoor kitchen. Make sure you try some of the fresh food and canned goods, too! I always stock up on cowboy candy and get a fresh lavender lemonade to go with something special they’ve made.
