After a disappointing experience elsewhere in town, we walked into The Hourglass in Kimberley BC hoping for better—and they absolutely delivered. I asked the host if they could accommodate our group of ten, and without hesitation she offered us a high-top and even pulled over another one to make room. She made sure our older family members had seats with backs and had the entire table set up before I even made it outside to let the rest of my group know we were good to go.
The atmosphere was chic and welcoming, with a touch of class that still felt comfortable and family-friendly. And the food? Spectacular. We had tacos, a fresh and flavorful flatbread, and loaded nachos that disappeared almost instantly. The drinks were equally impressive and beautifully presented.
It’s clear that this team values hospitality and knows how to make every guest feel welcome. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great service, delicious food, and a memorable dining experience in Kimberley!

A super cool cocktail bar with specials and a good selection of bites. I got the hot guava margarita and it was extremely well made. They make their own syrups and the range of the drinks is very impressive. They also do have a nice selection of tap beers if that’s your thing.

Hourglass never fails to impress. Tasty appies/tapas, fabulous cocktails and top notch service. My annual golf group of 16 out-of-towners "begged" to go back to Hourglass again this year and we weren't disappointed! Owners Ella and Breanna have created a magical "date night" or "friends night out" venue.

Sat on the deck with the cooling mountain air after an awesome day in the platzl with great entertainment. This cocktail bar has the feeling of a high class bar in the city. Great food, great cocktails, beautiful people and a relaxed atmosphere love it ❤️ don’t miss it ❤️

My wife and I dropped in for a cocktail after dinner. She had a martini and I had a margarita. My drink was ok but my wife’s drink was undrinkable. I’m guessing the shot glass wasn’t changed or rinsed prior to pouring the vodka. The server was nice enough but we really didn’t want to send it back as we were tired and just wanted to relax. We did however get a good giggle out of the special. “ 10 % off wine with the order of a White Boar D” hahahaha

My wifey and I stopped in for a late evening supper and enjoyed the amazing charcuterie board. I've never had such an amazing little supper that filled the two of us up incredibly. Great food and very enjoyable atmosphere. Don't be afraid to enjoy this place. ❤️

I'm from Edmonton, and I take the extra 3-4 hours drive past Jasper and Banff to go to Kimberly because of places like this!The owners are so so welcoming and the drinks are phenomenal. Always look forward to coming back to places like this!
I really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant! The food and the service was great.My only complaint would be the chairs. I am only 21 and I found the stools to be very uncomfortable. They are metal with a very small surface to sit on and no back. If you have any issues with back pain I recommend you get there extra early to grab one of the few chairs that do have a back.Other than this we had a great experience and will be returning and recommending this place to our friends.

Love Hourglass!! The food, the drinks, the decor, the staff - all fantastic!!The only negative thing I would have to say is that almost every time I’ve gone in there I’ve been freezing cold!! Women want to wear cute outfits & be warm - turn up the heat!! :)

Wow. Talk about a not-so-hidden gem in Kimberley. Came out to celebrate my birthday with my friend, and we both had an incredible time.The service was incredible. We were seated at the bar as it was a full house around 8PM. Comfortable seats, bar was not cluttered, and the lady working the bar was incredibly friendly.For drinks; we ordered the Moscow mule and the Monarch. Both were exquisite. If you enjoy gin and citrus, the monarch is a must try.For food; we opted to share the crostinis and a plate of nachos, not realizing just how much food we were ordering. The crostinis were hands down the highlight of the evening. Perfectly balanced. Would ABSOLUTELY go back for this dish. The nachos were delicious. The corn and the peach salsa played off each other perfectly. The pulled chicken (extra) was moist and well seasoned. The nachos were layered, as they should be, and one order would be more than enough food for three people.Thank you everyone from The Hourglass for a truly memorable evening and for making my birthday a bit more special.
