The Old Bauernhaus Restaurant

Showed up at 7:40 pm on a Friday and were turned away because they weren’t accepting any more tables. Pretty disappointing—especially on a weekend. Took my money elsewhere. Just a heads-up for anyone planning a late dinner without reservations.

First time here. Our server was Marley. She was great. Super personable. Helped understand the menu choices. Treated us like old friends. Food was awesome. Location was fun. Was celebrating with friends their wedding anniversary. Would definitely come back.

It was our Anniversary so we decided to celebrate it at The Old Bauernhaus Restaurant. We were not disappointed. The meal was spectacular and our server Brittany was amazing. She was very sweet and thoughtful bringing us special little treats because it was our Anniversary. The atmosphere was fun and lively because there was a group celebrating a Birthday and other happy patrons. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and we will definitely be back.

Had such an incredible meal and the service was fantastic! We all did the schnitzel full dinner and it was mouth watering! We will be back soon to try other meals on the menu!

Not a very authentic atmosphere. We had a reservation and waited 30 minutes to be seated even though there were lots of empty tables. The main courses were terrible. Cardboard deep fried pork schnitzel, dry, chewy spatzel. Pork chop was sinewy. Dessert was disappointing. Definitely not authentic Black Forest cake. More like a chocolate cupcake with some whipped cream and canned cherries. We won’t be back.

The food here was decent, servers were friendly and we got a table for two without issue. There were multiple other large groups being served at the same time as us so service was pretty slow after we got our mains. We waited about 15-20 mins for a box for leftovers and the bill.

We were disappointed in the decline of The Old Baurenhaus. We have come many times before with family & friends, and enjoyed our meal and service. Not so much this time. We were sat at a table in the middle of a noisy room, too cold, and loud, even though my husband asked for a different table he was ignored. When your paying huge prices, you want something at least enjoyable.

We ordered the feast for four people and all left feeling hungry and underwhelmed.
The portions for the feast were meticulously measured with paper thin cheese, pickles and tomatoes, one asparagus per person and tiny schnitzel.
It took at least 15 minutes to be asked for our drink order and tables who were seated after us were finished their meals and gone before we’d even gotten our main, which was served cold.
Poor value and we won’t be coming back.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal at The Old Bauernhaus! The chicken jagerschnitzel and spätzle was amazing as well as the Oma’s roasted chicken! The food came out nice and hot and our water glasses were never empty!:) Service was a 10!!! Thank you for the wonderful evening we will be back!:)

Almost entire restaurant was empty and we were refused a table due to reservations, which is understandable, did they did not offer to take a number or a waiting list. Also got very rude looks from a woman in the kitchen like we were dumb or something for not knowing so when we aren't from this area. As someone of German descent who was excited to try this spot and recommend it to family and friends I will no longer being doing so based off unprofessionalism and lack of customer service.
