We ordered the Christmas take out dinner and it was amazing. We also just celebrated my daughter’s birthday with a big group and had a wonderful time. Dinner was delicious and our server Chad was patient and informed and very personable. Thank you Bauernhous. I highly recommend and we will definitely be back

A very cozy and unique German restaurant in this area of British Columbia. The German sausages, potatoes, and sauerkraut were delicious; a nice Oktoberfest dinner. The dessert was pretty good too.

I was not expecting such a delightful experience. The atmosphere is just right. I had the aged beef, and I cannot recommend it enough—possibly one of the best steak dishes I’ve had in years. Make sure that you book ahead.

Fantastic, authentic German cuisine. We loved the German Feast which was a beautiful multi-course meal. Included were all the favourites including Schnitzel, fresh made spatzle, inhouse cured meats and more. Even the salads were delicious! You are in for a real treat!!

GREAT German food. The locals as well as tourists. Packed the place. Reservation is highly recommended.

When we initially called they were full for the night, but said they would squeeze us in. We were up from the States to play golf, and afterwards we were hungry, so we enjoyed the feast. It was amazing, and nothing went back to the kitchen. Wonderful place, great atmosphere and service, and the food was fabulous. If you are in Kimberley, this is a don’t miss place to eat. Prost!

We loved the food and service as always. It is still our favourite restaurant in the region. Nothing comes close in my opinion. The German beers were also an excellent addition.

The veal schnitzel was tough, the pork schnitzel was slightly better. Our server did a good job, but seemed she had too many tables. This was our first visit and likely our last as the price for quality was much too high. The building story is fantastic, but food quality is what brings people back especially when visiting the area. We had 8 in our group and everyone was less than happy with their meals.

UNBELIEVABLE. I have never seen Maultaschen on a menu since being in Baden-Württemberg as it’s a regional dish and it was phenomenal, so authentic. Everything down to the bread and butter is spectacular. Spätzle, gravy, can’t get more authentic or delicious than this. The building is stunning takes you straight to Bavaria and wonderful service all around.

We took our friends (who had never been to the Baurnhaus) last night for dinner and had the feast! It was spectacular from start to finish. It was our first time under the new ownership so just wanted to say how happy we were with the food, ambiance and service. Thank you Baurnhaus. It was a lovely evening!!

I don't write a lot of google reviews but this place deserves a lot more stars than I can give them! We sort of happened upon this place by accident on vacation, my daughter wanted to try it out. We had an amazing time, our waitress was wonderful, she explained the menus and the food so well. And the food was nothing short of fantastic, I really can't say enough. We had the feast so that we could try a few dishes and there was nothing we didn't love! I highly recommend if you have a chance to check it out, best to make a reservation!
