I am honestly at a loss for words after our recent experience at The Shed. We mistakenly had our dog on the patio, not realizing it wasn’t allowed due to the poor signage being behind us. We were just served our drinks and were having to rush out and were doing our best to enjoy our beers. My partner was left outside, unable to enjoy his beer while we hurried to comply.
The service that followed was filled with snarky comments, which made an uncomfortable situation even worse. It was clear there was no understanding or compassion for our honest mistake. As a fellow server, I know that a simple, kind approach could have turned this around. Instead, we were met with a dismissive attitude and felt rushed out the door.
I chose not to leave a tip because we barely had a chance to enjoy our drinks, and the service was disappointing at best. When she saw I didn’t leave a tip we were met with a scoff and rudely being told “some dogs aren’t patio dogs” This was honestly the worst dining experience I’ve had, and I won’t be returning anytime soon. Some servers just aren’t meant to be servers :) happy thanksgiving.

Was the best meal I’ve had in quite awhile. Biked from Cranbrook, and let me tell you… I’d do it again even in a blizzard storm bare foot just to come here again. Food was unreal. The ribs were so good, cornbread was out of this world. Mac and cheese was better than any I’ve ever had. Great service. Amazing food. Very very yummy paralyzers. If I’m ever back this way I’m ALWAYS coming to this spot. Wow. I’m having flash back memories and I’m drooling ?
BEST PLACE IN KIMBERLY, No doubt.
Parking: Bike in and tons of places to lock up your bike around ?

Amazing little spot for a great meal, the brisket was soo good!! Great staff, food and atmosphere. If you’re in or passing through Kimberley do yourself a favour and try this place
Came to stop for lunch, had the BEST smoked brisket I’ve ever had from any bbq joint. The sauces and cornbread alone were mouth watering, none the less the sides and the meat. Will DEFINITLEY be coming back here again.

Big fan of the Shed! When I first moved to Kimberley, the shed was the place I met most of my current friends. The atmosphere the shed provides is unmatched and so welcoming! The staff, specifically the servers Carli, Rachel, and Sara, are so diligent and pleasant to be around. And don't get me started on the food! It is so good and fairly priced for the quality! I have dreams about the corn salad and boss hog! As well, the assortment of on tap rotating beers is ideal after a long day of Adventuring in the kootenays! On Sundays, you cannot miss bingo - Jesse will make you laugh until you cry! The joy sheddy bingo brings me is unmatched and I wish everyone could experience it! But if you are a stick in the mud, please do not burden the staff and patrons who enjoy happiness. I've noticed some folk lately in the shed who feel the need to treat servers like they are not humans, it's pretty disgusting - if you or someone you know is like that in any establishment, give your head a shake and go kick rocks :) anywho, thank you shed for being a welcoming ground for all members of the community and visitors alike. We ♡ u.

8 of us came in to eat early dinner..
It was steady in the restaurant. Service wasn't bad. Cute little place but all high tables. Hard for some to sit with back issues or hip replacement. My brisket tacos were delicious. Coleslaw was yummy. I also had corn bread and jt was delicious. Husband had ribs. Ribs were good, but bbq sauce was meh ?. Baked potatoes with brisket were good. Son ordered wings, but they came battered. He didn't like them at all. The daughter had kids nachos, and she said they were good. Son gf had ceaser salad she said it was good, but lettuce was worm. She also had mac and cheese. She said it was good..

Lovely little place in the Platzl of Kimberley. However, when I am served a cider that comes out murky and looking like cloudy scrumpy, then getting the same cider that is crystal clear, should I be paying for both? I don't think so. Soma cider is clear, as I've learnt, so why was I served the murky rubbish? (Before this experience I had not drank Soma before therefore I had no idea if it was clear or murky.) The bartender didn't seem to think there was a problem. Well, I have no problem taking my business to your competitior across the square.

Small pub style with patio. Food was good and not so. Sandwiches are not bad. However, pricey for a tablespoon of pulled pork and a shriveled up baked potato.
Good little place to have a pint or two.
