I’ve been going to the blue room since it opened a few years ago and every time it’s been nothing but incredible service, tasty smoked drinks and unbelievably delicious juicy and tasty steaks! Chef Geoff really knows how to impress. It is our favourite spot to go for date night in Kitomat and we always look forward to getting a little bit dressed up and enjoying our dates there. I highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for a delicious meal in Kitimat!!

Was brought here by my son during a road trip up to see him - was a delightful restaurant with great food.
Restaurant was clean Bathrooms - certainly need more attention and care If you get chilly easy - definitely bring a sweater as it is quite chilly (or it was when I was there - close to the stairs there was quite the cold draft)

Went here for date night with my husband. Arrived at 520pm on a Saturday. There was one table occupied in the whole restaurant and they were already eating. After standing waiting to be seated for 5-8 minutes, someone finally approached us and asked if we had a reservation. We said no, and she said she’d be right back. Five minutes layered she returned and said they could not accommodate us as they didn’t want the kitchen staff to get overwhelmed??? Did I mention there was two of us??? And only one occupied table in the entire restaurant?? Lmao pretty pathetic. Ended up going to Mr mikes and had a wonderful meal with excellent service(and they were packed!!)

Went on a date night with my partner on a Saturday around 6:00pm when we get there there is a sign that says wait to be seated. We waited at the sign for a couple of minutes while staff are just walking past us. Then a young man (who I knew) stopped and said have you been helped which we replied no. He went to the bartender and said that they are at capacity and we could not be seated. There was about 6 empty tables that we could see and we replied with really? The young man was apologetic as the servers just laughed. This is the second time we have had an experience like this here. Fair to say we will not be going back. Went to the Chalet and had a nice meal.

It’s Kitimat so I wasn’t expecting a fine dining experience, but I’ve got to say, the Blue Room Tavern really surprised me in the best way.
We came in as a group of 30+ for a birthday dinner, so the service was relatively smooth. Most of us ordered ahead, which I think is the way to go. Our server, Summer, was an absolute gem. Friendly, attentive, and made sure every single person had what they needed and checked in regularly without ever feeling rushed.
For the food I ordered the 7oz Filet Mignon medium-rare arrived medium, however the vast majority of steaks ordered were cooked to perfection. The Truffle Parmesan fries were crisp, the sauce rich, and honestly hard to stop eating. We also shared the Warm Baked Goat Cheese appetizer. INCREDIBLE creamy, tangy, and paired nicely with the crostini (I do wish they threw in one more piece for sharing). Portions were just right.
All in all, I left full, happy, and genuinely impressed. Great food, great drinks, great staff, great night.
Watch out your stake CAREFULLY if there is a price of plastic wrap. Informed it to the server but no response at all till I leave. Bye bye.

tried going to the comedy show but no seats left for me and my wife. We paid 50 bucks for tickets and didn't even get to watch it. We even asked for another seat and the waitress told us they couldn't bring another seat out. We weren't about to stand for the whole show plus we where planing to eat.

Food was AMAZING! Had the 14oz Sirloin and it was like cutting through butter. Delish! Service was excellent! Appy was Spinach Artichoke and was excellent as well. About the only issue I had was the music was a bit loud. But the atmosphere is excellent otherwise. Will definitely return when I'm craving steak!
