Nice place by the lake. Somehow they found the perfect balance for their space between cozy and comfy. We came for dinner and it was busy but crowded. Everyone seems to be happy.Food was good. Nice and hot which is a good sign. The squash penne could have used more seasoning as it was kinda bland. My friend had the kimchi bowl and said it was pretty good. The wings are nothing to write home about but the prawns were surprisingly good. Too bad they had just ran out of squid.

We shared a couple of appies, deep fried wontons and the curried chicken flatbread, and we couldn't eat it all. The presentation was great, and our server was very personable and attentive. Thought the price was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend Jakes at the Lake.
